I use a 1070ti and just turn crowd to low and max everything else out. Still get a 60fps locked on 1080p.

Stupid things like grass texture, crowd textures, really how detailed do you need that crap to be when you're in the heat of a game? Turn some of that stuff to medium then low and you'll be shocked how little you notice it when playing.
Tried to set everything to Low in-game, but still get some of the stutter. I'm pretty convinced that it's the optimization of the actual game itself.

rig specs:

RTX 3080ti
i9-10900k
132GB ram (yes, 132, I run Virtual machines).
I'm only trying to run the game on a 1080p 144hz monitor with gsync, not trying 4k or anything..

Some things that helped:
- In game "Lock to 60 FPS".
120 FPS or no limit was awful... Rarely saw the GPU above 90%

- Made sure "ultra low latency mode" was off in Nvidia control panel
- Enabled vsync (fast) in N control panel
- Set the max frame rate to 58FPS

It's not terrible now, but still has stuttering (nothing like "lock at 120FPS or no limit).

4090, 7950x3d build here

No stutters when I lock the game to 120fps and make sure VRR is enabled on my monitor (LG Oled Flex)

What are you guys using to measure FPS, and performance?

Re: Is my GPU to far out of date for Madden '24

So I upgraded from a GTX 1070 to a RTX 3060 TI. The 1070 was fine for most games, but I have a 1440 monitor now, and I've been having to run games at lower settings. Found a good price and went for it.

Every other game has seen a nice improvement. But... Madden runs the exact same on the newer card. Have to lower all settings to get a semi-stable 60 FPS. Without V Sync on it runs like complete trash. If I turn any settings above medium it tanks the FPS.

This is one of the most poorly optimized PC ports I've seen in a while.

Playing Madden last night, and was getting some pretty heavy stuttering and even some tearing.

A bit disappointed, was fully expecting to be able to push this game.

Is my system just to far out of date, or are there other issues going on?

Was driving me absolutely crazy that it's unable to adjust graphics setting from within the game.
Hey, you should be able to run it. I have a 3060 RTX and i5. Make sure you have v sync on, DRS always off, advanced hair, bloom, lens flare, depth fog - all off. Mesh medium, shadows, and crowd low. Textures is up to you, I have mine on high.

Running on 1080 with all the settings on low or off is so underwhelming and disappointing compared to the game when everything is maxed out. Problem is gen you can t play because of the stutter and lag. I just want 1440 with smooth play lol. That’s all
