Very exciting news! Is this teams from throughout the 90s like Playmakers had made or is this specifically the year 1990? Either way, it'd be sweet because 90 is the roster year that Tecmo Super Bowl was taken from.

Yes,

We have already touched bases and JohnEcool gets 100% credit for converting this file over from Madden 25
http://www.operationsports.com/forum...playbooks.html

Now I'm not sure if he's planning to just take the file and make it a single season or utilize it as originally setup but I was advised all the ratings would remain intact from my work which is great because a lot of research went into the players.

I wish there was a way we could make sure all players still had the proper height, weight and age I assigned because that's what really made that file stand out for me. I was able to get darn near a close match on player appearance using the default Madden rosters to matchup players.

Example of Player Matches size, height and year for that specific team

90 Raiders Bo Jackson 6'1 225-Lorenzo Taliaferro 6'2 226 (1st Year)

91 Lions Barry Sanders 5'8 200-Bobby Rainey 5'8 212 (3rd Year)

92 Cowboys Emmitt Smith 5'9 210-Duke Johnson 5'9 210 (Rookie)

92 49ers Ricky Watters 6'1 211-Amari Cooper 6'1 211 (Rookie)

98 Broncos Terrell Davis 5'11 210-Silas Redd 5'10 200 (1st Year)

Thanks to everyone who participated in this thread for feedback because it just goes to show how many us still enjoy these throwback rosters as an alternative to EA's Default rosters.

Re: Madden 16 Classic Rosters

Okay, awesome! I do hope it's ported over as is with all of those teams and maybe even the free agents. That is a good point you bring up about choosing the proper players to edit for height/weight/appearance accuracy. Did you have a master list of who you chose to make each person from? Either way, I am definitely stoked about this and I am also glad that your ratings will remain intact. The main thing that kills most retro roster attempts is having too many overrated guys. Way too 99 overalls out there.

Just to clarify... JohnEKool, this will be for PS4, correct?

Re: Madden 16 Classic Rosters

yes Chino its for the PS4. It is Playmakers work and while I am converting it over to M16, I am TRYING to remain true in all aspects I have some control over. The ratings are based off of playmakers edits and seem to be spot on. I am using the correct height, weight, college, service years, and appearance to the best of my ability. Using pro-football-reference.com for all my info. In some cases, players will have dreads when they are not supposed to, but it cant be helped sometimes. If I need a cornerback to edit that is 5-11 180lb. in his 4th year, I use that model to edit regardless of dreadlocks or not. I am proud of the work but it is SO TIME INTENSIVE. Thanks Playmaker for the great roster. I only hope my finished product lives up to your expectations. This will only be designed for single season replay. Playmaker, do you have a special slider set that you use and maybe the offense and defense packages for the 1990 season? Any tools you could shoot my way to help make this as realistic as possible would be appreciated.
By the way......I am following your roster ratings to the letter. I haven't changed a thing with the ratings at all. They seem to be just as realistic in M16 as they were in M25!! I am using the same attributes and accessories as well. The only thing difference is the player I am editing. Should be just like yours. You deserve all the credit. I am just your flunky!!!

Re: Madden 16 Classic Rosters

Damn i wish this was for Xbox one users....

As for the team playbooks you can find everything listed for each team in their section of thread i did for madden 25.

I used nfl reference for the data on each playbook

Again thanks for doing this for the community it's a shame we can't convert the rosters to Xbox one so they are more wide spread.

Re: Madden 16 Classic Rosters

I have an xbox 1 and I have Madden 16 as well. I was going to convert my 1983 roster I did for Madden 15 but I could just do your 90 roster for xbox 1 when I am done. I guess a vote would be the best way to determine it.

which one people????

1990 season for Xbox 1 or 1983 season for Xbox 1? Choose wisely!

Re: Madden 16 Classic Rosters

obviously my vote would be for xbox one

but i'm bias LOL!

one thing i could do is grab the file if it's on xbox one once your finish and then add 100's pf free-agents to the list.

In Madden 25 i was only able to add free-agents at qb, rb, fb, wr and te before i ran out time.

Awesome, man. I definitely appreciate all the work. I know how hard it is. I am still confused though about which roster this is specifically that you're doing. You seem to only mention the year 1990, whereas Playmakers roster had teams ranging from 1989-2000 in it. Please clarify for me if you can and thanks again!

Additionally, PM, if you have specific ratings to input for these free agents, I'd be willing to create some for the ps4 roster if JohnEKool can't or doesn't want to do it.
