Hey Milt. I can relate to your lazy remark. I just saw this guy on tubeyou pull a 91 moss legend and he acted like he won the lottery, and worked for it !

Not gonna disagree with anything you said, and you're right to measure my complete lack of contribution to the continued effort you've given to the community. It's still lazy to move a slider all the way to one end and then just ignore it for the year. I'm sorry my critique came off as offensive as it did, I didn't intend to make it a personal attack or start a fight. I was just trying to make a general critique about that approach, but my criticism really lacked the constructive part.

I don't intend on sharing my sliders in their own post, because they are heavily based on the community averages. So any success had with them should be attributed to the 20 slider set makers that I gather averages from. It seems like there are more than enough different sets available that would benefit from more testing rather than having every Joe Schmoe release their own. If you're looking for a good laugh over the weekend, I'd happily share what I'm using as a reply here.

Threshold is the base to any slider set. No matter were you set it at, you build off the threshold and adjust from there. So if someone has it at 0, 50, 100 etc there is a reason why they leave threshold. Once threshold is moved or adjusted you now have a domino effect with adjusting of the other sliders.

My personal opinion is that somewhere around 40-45 is the best range, and the average is dragged down by lazy slider makers who just put it at 0. There is only one slider set that has raised the slider, and that's only to 55 the last time I updated the averages.
Your first comment is way off base and ignorant. In my annual online franchise, all of us have voted on using 100 as a threshold for our league because we wanted other ratings other than speed matter. Madden as a game is still too dependent on the speed rating as during test games with threshold at 50 and less, I could score at will with any player because of their speed. I shouldn’t be averaging 60 points a game with the Cowboys against defenses like Jacksonville. Higher threshold for me and my friends make us have to really scout and scour the free agent pool for the right players to build our teams with. Also I’ve just kicked off our official league since I’ve been testing my slider set since EA Access. I’ve actually been testing more than playing. At the end of the day, nobody has a bad slider set. If you enjoy what you use, that’s great for everyone.

Re: Has anyone found a good speed threshold?

Since the latest patch, I tried All Madden and put the threshold at 0. I kept everything at default excepts penalties and the CPU tackling at 45. I noticed better animations on passing and tackling. There are always awkward animations here and there on tackling and catching, but at 0, I noticed a significant decline in questionable animations and an increase in better tackling and organic animations. Don’t know if it’s because of all madden and the 0 threshold combined , but I def like it.

If it works for you man, use it! I’ll give it a go myself since I want to do a second league with different settings and friends who are just now getting into Madden.

Re: Has anyone found a good speed threshold?

Perhaps you and the guys In your league are not aware that speed kills. Speed Is what makes it the NFL. To me, this is the strongest case to NOT set it at 100. Thanks for your help
