Re: Matt10's Madden 20 Sliders

Are you all using 13 minute quarters with a 15 second run off?

I'd been using 12-minutes w/ 20-second play clock, but since switching to the latest patch/sliders I've seen a notable down-tick in offense for whatever reason. So I'll probably be going up to 13min/15sec run-off, if not full-length 15-minute quarters with 20-second play clock.

Re: Matt10's Madden 20 Sliders

Hi Matt.

I have been using your sliders for the last 2 years, I think they are great. I am still at awe how so many people make time to create these sliders and update them all the time, with regular life thrown it.

Having said this, I have a serious issue with the 17th version right after the patch. I used your settings down to the tee from the main menu to CFM, exactly as instructed. The only thing different is I have auto flip on and 9 minute quarters, no acceleration! Previous version were good. Now, no matter what or who I play, I can't stop anybody or be stopped, running through everybody! Kyle Juszczyk was blasting through the line, people bouncing off him, running for a 55 yard TD! It seems like the players themselves who have the ball are super fast, kind of thing! End of first quarter, 49ers at Cowboys, 21-17! I am the Niners. Your previous sliders and below were really good, but there are some stuff in these with the new patch that I notice are great. I wouldn't like to have to regress to version 16 if I can help it. Maybe a save file or something screwed this up? Any ideas?

I've also observed that forward progress is often ignored; e.g. a running back hits the hole and I initiate a truck/stiff arm, and because I make first contact with the first defender, Madden thinks I'm choosing the direction in which the back moves; as a result, when additional tacklers come to the ball and drive me backward, it puts the spot of the ball backward where the running back landed, and not at the forward spot where contact was initiated. Just some bizarre things in Madden this year, nothing out of the ordinary.
I had a game yesterday where DPI was called in the end zone, and the ball was intercepted—I accepted the penalty—and the AI ended up with the ball on their own 1

Any custom rosters in use here at all? Really strange issues as that doesn't seem to be honoring the nature of the the patch update, let alone the sliders.

Can you go into CFM and reset the sliders, then save, then go back in and import again? Let me know if that helps. Seems like a sync issue overall to me.

Just getting the coverage a tad tighter should help.

Here, Jake Ryan is a bit too tight, so his momentum causes him to get out of position just a tad. However, I do like there is some contact between the two players.

Within the same sequence though, Hayden is in a great position to read the pass, thus taking the pick for 6.

So with this very small update, it should make a good enough difference to allowing the coverage be tight, and give the CPU QB a second thought before making a pass.

If you intercepted the ball you have to decline the penalty to keep the result of the play.
