Re: Matt10's Madden 20 Sliders

Matt, just joined, had to say love the slider sets. Definitely makes the game more playable. The only problem I seem to have is with CPU interceptions.
Some of this is All Madden cheese, but it can be frustrating--though I have gotten much better at Pass Defense as of late.
My biggest issue is interceptions off tipped passes. The CPU always has a guy come out of nowhere and catch a deflection, but I'll bat a pass in the air and literally two or three of my guys will just run under it or if I switch to a player they rarely react. I've had a linebacker jump over my tight end for a pick, players falling to the ground making a pick. Also, they are almost always a pick six--so they're even more devastating. When it's a superstar I don't mind, but a teams 3rd best corner?
I dropped CPU interceptions to 37 and mine to 45; in three games I have 4 picks after having 2 picks in 6 games. I threw 4 picks in 6 games, and only have thrown 1 since. I noticed that I get more pass breakup animations for my players, which is nice, but not a crazy number of picks. For the CPU, they can still pick me off if I make a poor throw but I see less pop-up interceptions and highlight picks.
Overall, most games play great especially if you play realistically (punt on fourth, kick field goals, etc.) as the CPU seems to cheese/script you less. Now if only they would go back to a physics engine...

Definitely agree. I'm finding a balance between the QB-WRC-INT values. Tested super brief last night, if not I'd have more insight this morning. I do plan on addressing that though because it can get a bit tiresome, to borderline cliche, on the way the CPU intercepts passes. Yes, I'd love a physics based engine.

I'm excited to dive in tonight with the base, and see what can be done. Thanks again - and welcome to OS!

Since then, no, I haven't tried these in that mode. I'd imagine the penalty sliders would perform the animation alone and not the penalty being called, correct?

Not sure, the penalties seem just fine, animations look great. Fumbles are the main issue I think as that keeps the computer from scoring so you get a really lopsided score. I have the fumbles at 60 going to try 65 next.

I was curious if anyone else was playing this mode and what other tweaks they have on the settings.

Would love know your thoughts on PRO. Your sliders actually work well there as is. On default with your penalty sliders also make for close games with lots of great animations.

Not sure if anybody is seeing this but I see no over throws unless the QB is throwing the ball away only missed I see are when the WR gets hit and dropped the catch

I've never tried Pro, so that's good to hear it is working. I'll look at it sometime today, sure.

I've seen plenty of overthrows and underthrows.

CaptTats, I'm giving you a goal of posting 1 positive thing for every 3 negative things you post. Look through all your posts on this thread and my M19 thread for reference .
