Brady is a 97 Franchise QB. Mac is an 81 Franchise QB. I personally don't see anything wrong with this. That's a massive upgrade. I don't think this is a totally unrealistic scenario. It's more realistic in my mind than him becoming the part owner of a team while also being their starting Qb and that almost happened in real life.

If they had Mac on the roster and a 65 OVR QB that was a Franchise QB would anyone want to see the 65 OVR guy starting over him because he was younger?

Yeah, the only reason this stands out is because our real world connections with it. If this was roster generated QB 97ovr replacing roster generated QB 81ovr, we wouldn't think a thing of it.

What I’d like to see is how the CPU handles Jones in this scenario. Do they put him on the block and look to gain draft capital or do they just let him sit.

K wait what? We aren't supposed to have world connections to what happens in Madden? 99% of people's complaints are exactly based on Madden not being able to replicate "simulation".

I see what you were saying with your formula but your equation is missing the most crucial variable, age. No way does NE sit or trade 81 ovr franchise 23 year old Jones for 97 ovr 45 year old Brady.

For the record stuff like this doesn't bother me. I can accept this is a video game but trying to justify it ias reasonable is not something I could do. Lol

Which one do they start in the depth chart? The logic was probably that they needed a backup QB because those other guys are really bad and they signed the best one they could get with the cap room they had available.

Yeah he does. There's a million reasons this makes sense. Even in the real world this could happen. I don't see anything wrong with it because Mac is such a low OVR

Because it's Brady going back to New England. If it were Jack Random playing on a team you don't control, for however many years, leaving, then coming back, would you care? And to me, age doesn't really have anything to do with it. If you have a chance to score a 97 overall in free agency to start over an 81, you do it. Simulation, and real life.
