From a game balance specifically within Madden, coverage LB’s don’t play a big enough role because their coverage ratings produce an Delta difference that’s 100% Route Runner favored.

It may be an Passing League, but for Franchise replay longevity, Coverage LB’s need to play a bigger role in impacting that Coverage balancing within Madden.

So I edit ratings to tighten up the passing windows a bit.

I’m talking about gameplay functionality at a more granular level, team/player types are irrelevant at this junction, because Madden doesn’t allow “Bad” players/teams to coexist in the Franchise Ecosystem. .

- at every level, players/teams are boosted w/out an “big enough” negative mechanism that will impact a player/team for balance

There’s a reason Out & Crossings routes are the go-to’s across both Play Styles, they’re easy to complete & get 1st downs due to how AI LB’s Coverage ratings are well below the Route Run ratings of the players they’re attempting to cover.

An impactful Coverage defense needs both DB’s & LB’s.
Right now Madden places the Pass Coverage focus solely on DB’s & typically apply gameplay tweaks to them alone & not LB’s

That’s all I was notating.

The only alternate helmet that downloaded for me was the Cardinals one. Does anyone have any idea why or is there a fix to it? On PS4. Thanks for any help.

If we're adding anecdotal evidence here... Patrick Mahomes threw 5 INTs to my 74 rated defense just now lol. One was a user, but the rest were straight to my DBs. Same problems.... Bad decisions, bad accuracy, and DBs attacking the ball while WRs are disinterested.

Did anyone else think the game last night Rams vs Bills looked exactly like Madden 23 with 5 INTs total and a bunch of quick throws to the RBs etc...?

I started playing offense only because the cpu kept throwing pick 6’s. Now, almost every time I get the ball the cpu has full momentum so my offense is trash! Couldn’t agree more.

Exactly. It's both that the different momentum levels create such a huge difference / OP ability, and that it happens so fast. Once a team makes a big play in the first quarter, it's like they have near max momentum and sometimes it feels like the game's already over. If they could turn it down like 90% it might be useful, but I would love the option to just turn it off entirely and let the game play and flow more naturally.

I agree with the disenchantment with the momentum feature. NFL players are seasoned pros and tend not to get rattled by falling behind early, etc.

It's a feature that is better suited for an NCAA game.
