you really need to go outside. This is not the end of the world. Games always have issues, it's a game it's not real football. If it's fixed great, but until then adjust. Or just put it on the shelf and stop complaining every post. Games are supposed to be fun.

Agreed, they need to fix it. But they didn't fix it this patch, so we have to wait. So I'm lowering CPU LB's and DB's catch ratings (catch, spec catch, and CIT) and it works better until they fix it.

I mean what else can we do.

This is a thread about a title update for a videogame. Would you prefer I discuss the weather on my morning run in here instead of Madden?

Definitely can feel the tuning to Run Block. That was actually yesterday after the server maintenance. I play All Pro with HUM RNBlk slider at 4. This opened up the run game just enough to be effective but still extremely challenging (specifically for low rated teams, I use NYG).

During testing, with the slider at 3, running was pretty much impossible. It now feels that way at 4. I’ll have to adjust up by a point at a time to open it back up again. Curious how it will play with the actual patch.

Use this workaround for your own team:

All LB’s CB’s S’s

Knock down catch ratings by 20 each:

CTH
CIT
SPC

Also set their trait to play ball in the air to conservative.

For true ball hawk CB and S’s think Xavien Howard types:

Reduce by just 10 and set Ball in Air to balanced.

It has greatly calmed it down for me.

I think I just answered my own question - I checked the soundtrack and the two new songs are in there so looks like it updated.

I often play CPU v CPU with the interception/pass defense reaction sliders turned to 0 and pass coverage around ~15 and there are routinely 5+ interceptions per game between both teams. Curious if this patch helps at all.

Could the int issue be addressed with the roster update? Could they lower the LB’s and DB’s catching ratings?

Re: Madden NFL 23 Title Update Available Now - Patch Notes

The catch frequency on tipped passes absolutely was a good fix....that should drop INTs per game from my usual 3 per game (total between both sides) in half.

Then the added adjustments to franchise look good.

Guess we'll just see how everything comes together.
