For PC players only (it's probably the same problem on other platforms, but it can be fixed manually on PC).

There appears to be a glitch where sometimes, not everytime, the engine numbers the undrafted players Round 63 1-450. This is especially probably if you're importing a draft class that was converted from Madden 21.

Normally, undrafteds are round 63, pick 225-450. What this means is that the CPU is trying to include extra guys from the draft class you're copying over which means a 224 player overload. The game reads pick first and round second, so if you go into edit draft class, you'll notice the projection doesn't sort properly, slotting undrafted guys in weird places.

This has nothing to do with the draft glitch, that's happened to me with default and regular draft classes, though I assume a screwy draft class is going to cause more errors than normal.

To fix, open the franchise file in FET after importing your draft class, copy the following fields into a spreadsheet;

PLYR_DRAFTTEAM, ContractStatus, PLYR_DRAFTPICK, and PLYR_DRAFTROUND.

Add another field (I called it "Original Order) and number that in order as copied (starting with zero). I did this by entering zero in the top row, and +1 to each below it (A1 is header, A2 =0, A3 = A2+1, copy paste down the column). Copy the entire column and paste as values.

Create a filter.

Sort PLYR_DRAFTPICK A-to-Z
Sort PLYR_DRAFTROUND A-to-Z
Sort ContractStatus A-to-Z

Verify everyone who's ContractStatus reads, "Draft," is assigned to team 32.

From top to bottom, your draft class should go in order. If it isn't, you may notice that the highest undrafted as listed as pick 1, round 63. Edit the entries for PLYR_DRAFTPICK to be 225-450.

Sort by your created original order field A-to-Z. Copy the PLYR_DRAFTPICK column and paste directly into the Player table in FET.

This happened to be before the patch. Both my OC and DC got hired as HCs after we were the #1 seed in the conference. I'm on an online franchise to avoid the save corruption glitch though

It takes all of 15-20. I normally change all coach roles to owner and create new owner for each team. I play exclusively offline and I haven't tested anything since the patch. I may try to do that tonight and see.

I wont play more then 4 seasons, does the draft problem with running out of coaches to hire occur during the first 3 years, or only after that?

I would like to know as well. I usually never play more than 5 or 6 seasons, and then go back and start over.

So I am currently doing a draft in an online league and have observed the rewind glitch happening today even after the latest two updates. Was rewound from pick 21 to pick 3 following getting booted with a "Disconnected from server" message.

We appear to be working around this issue by doing the following:

1 - I am the commissioner
2 - I have the draft set to Paused
3 - every time a user makes a pick or trades down, I exit the league and re-enter. This appears to trigger a server save point, based on the timestamp on the league tile on the franchise file select menu updating
4 - I simulate all CPU picks using the "Skip Ahead In The Draft > Advance To Next User Selection" option and repeat step 3

This is annoying, and the lack of time pressure does obvious subtract from the drama of the draft, but so far it appears to be at least letting us progress. I will post a follow-up if things deteriorate further.

Update: immediately after completing the draft, our league got rewound to Round 1 Pick 2.
