I wish they would do what the community wants. Franchise folks want NFL Head Coach (or give us a GM option as well), MyCareer folks want Superstar Mode from PS2 era, and Ultimate Team folks can get their MUT with stick skills to reign supreme.

The thing I would love most is cut scene updates about games happening around the league.

The #1 overall thing I want most to be immersed in the game is a better scouting system. I want to really KNOW all the guys I’m scouting. I fell off of madden after Madden 16 but I did hook up the old Xbox 360 and was playing Madden 12 for a long time recently. I played some of Madden 23 but the scouting felt so dull. It be cool to take the NCAA approach and have to spend time talking to these guys and buttering them up a bit. Something to make it feel more personal.

If personalities do matter, then that should be something we can see before we draft them.

As far making scouting better, there's only a few changes... Completely eliminate true talent grade, integrate draft stories into their player card from the scouting screen, give users an idea of what their motivations are.

Somehow modern sports games adding depth to franchise/career modes always equals cut-scenes of you texting someone with multiple choice answers. Cut scenes in general do not deserve time on trailers like this.

Im actually happy that the Draft isnt so stale and boring anymore. It would be cool if they could connect it with College Football in the future. So you can import Draft Classes.

Im more concerned about the Story part. Cause they have some of this stuff in NBA2k and it gets annoying after a while. Since there is no real depth to it.

But hey, i take every little update when it comes to Franchise. You have to be thankful that they are not going 100% Ultimate Team.

I love RPGs. I'm making my way through Baldur's Gate 3 right now.

Good RPGs are immersive and you can see the world around you not only reacting to your decisions, but the decisions made by the other NPCs.

I'm all for borrowing some RPG elements, but it just feels half-done a lot of the time.
I don't disagree with you on THIS point. The massive question marks (for me) are:

1. Will these storyline mechanics be more than mere boost mechanics? I want my decisions/outcomes to greatly impact negotiations, whether a player even shows up for Camp, etc.
2. The CPU HAS to get them...if they get them AND those stories are shared in the news hub (and in-game) - it gets to the heart of it all beginning to tell that story.
3. There has to be consequences for failure. Not getting a reward is NOT a consequence. They need to be significant (i.e. Fail in your outbreak, player's dev trait drops or you make a decision where they literally will block you from re-signing them). Players need preferred schemes and if how YOU play the game doesn't jive, it might impact if they want to stay or not.

My hope is the consequences go far beyond morale hits.

There's so much potential. I'm disappointed we won't hear about CPU stories, but maybe next year, fingers crossed.

So…when the Blog mentions realistic lighting/shadows…..is that progressive or static (like in College Football)

Hopefully progressive

This is the big one for me above all else. I'm waiting this year to see what the people I trust say about the CPU play calling.

I also hope they have a bigger variety of players like CFB has. I've grown really tired of seeing the same faces each draft.
