Yes. I was just as shocked myself. Although, graphically madden 06
is still pretty impressive today.

I since played an afternoon game and the lighting was quite nice which made everything pop a little more.

NBA and AC4 look pretty sweet. I don't think it is my TV. That is just how it is. I am going to take a step and have a go with adjusted expectations
and focus on the gameplay.

I like the running animation, which has been awful since madden 06
on 360.

So the game still has what I would call "flat" lighting on the models except when in 1:00 games? It's like the model they used for stadium lights is just off or something. The players look flat.

Yeah they are very flat IMO.

I am not saying that madden 06 looks better, I am saying that it is pretty
close considering the years between them.

I have them side by side on two different TVs and the difference is not
a generation apart, thats for sure. The models even seem to be higher
poly in 06.

Just for reference, here is a vid of 06 so you guys know which one I
am talking about.

EDIT: It certainly looks better than Madden 25 current gen, which IMO
was a blurry mess. The fact that the models, animation and textures
are largely the same, makes the improvement seem less than it is.

Sorry, I meant madden 13. I have not actually played Madden 25
on current gen.

When I play Madden 13 on ps3, the players are all jaggy and pixelated
and all the numbers and textures are blurry and fuzzy. It looks a mess to me. Especially when compared to 06. No other maddens compared to
it visually last gen.

Now, with next gen I feel that it looks how last gen should have, based on
what I saw in madden 06 as a base.
