    Pass Rush in Next Gen

I am still debating if I want to go out and get a PS4 for Madden now or if I want to wait until next year.

One thing about Madden on current gen that drives me nuts is how 3-4 OLB's and 4-3 RDE generate no pass rush at all. Has this been fixed in Next Gen? In my current season I had Cameron Wake a 97 overall at LDE and he got 12 sacks in 8 games and I had Dion Jordan 83 over at RDE and he got 0 sacks in 8 games. Then I switched them and Jordan had 10 sacks over the next 8 games while Wake had 1.

This has been a problem in Madden for a while, and if it still is I will probably hold off on getting it.

So is this fixed in next gen?

Not really, I had to mess with the sliders to get any rush. Before I did that, QBs had a ALL day.

it's better than last gen. but you still need to adjust the sliders a ton.

This is just me. I'd say wait. The thing with the pass rush is the good rush animations are random. You have no control on "how your line will rush." I'm not talking about giving them crash right/left so on and so forth. I'm talking about getting your ends/olb's to speed rush and try to get around the tackles. Might happen one time an entire game

I drafted JJ Watt specifically to put at right end (4-3) so I can't tell you with certainty. But with Watt at RDE and Dion Jordan at LDE, Watt broke single season sack record (with Jordan not far behind).

I wouldn't go out and get a ps4 just for madden..

            But with that said..

If you get a ps4 and enjoy madden on current gen. You'll absolutely love next gen madden.

I won't call it perfect, but it's fixed. I HATED what you described. 70's DE's breaking the sack record while 90's DE's on the other side doing no damage. That HAS been fixed. DT's seem to get pass rush too, now.

Pass rush, seems the same on both systems (360, One). In my online GM, i get great pressure form the LE, Brooks Reed after trading Mario Williams. I get such great pressure that I miss the QB 90% of the time. I put pressure on him mixing up outside and inside rushes. My backside end or DT gets an extra second or two to get free and make the sack. I average 3-5 sacks a game but my user (LE) only has 8 through week 13.

I didnt play the CG Madden 25. But I play on AllPro (default), using the Giants. JPP and Tuck (before he retired) BOTH got 20 sacks in different seasons.

A bit better IMO. Finally get some sacks with LBs now.

It can be improved upon. I think it can be tough to differentiate between avg, good, and great pass rushers. The very best can stand out more and have a bigger impact.

Has anyone got your OLB's or DE to actually auto sub in and out correct? I have some good depth but that won't sub in and out. Auto subs seems to do nothing!

Most teams have a better pass blocking tackle on the left side. I just think it is harder for the RE who attacks the LT to shed their block

Your starting LB's shouldn't really sub out. In real life CB's and LB's and Safeties play 90-100% of snap counts.

Your 3rd string LB should get on the field a bit, but past him only if someone is hurt.

As for DE's and DT's I just can't get auto subs to work right without my starters dissappearing. I have tested endlessly but it seems auto subs are broken. I have resorted to manually subing them.

I manually sub my RE for quarter 2 and my LE for Quarter 3. For Quarter 1 and 4 my starting DE's are in there. For DT's I move my 3rd stinger up for a Quarter or so each game. I do this via the in game depth chart.

It's the only way I can get realistic snap counts. I do the same with my RB's on offense.... I have given up on auto subs entirely in madden 25, EA screwed them up.

I have Mario Williams, Pouha, and a 86 overall rookie on my line with Von Miller, Te'o Sean Lee and Akeem Ayers at LB. So far, the left side of my line, Williams and Miller have 24 combined sacks. The rookie and Ayers have 7 combined. Lee has 2, Te'o 0

This has been the hardest thing to tune on the sliders. I have a great set and I love the game play, but I have two complaints. One, user sacks. I can get to the quarterback way too often. Shea McClellin set the sack record two years in a row. Come on. Even when I play with a linebacker or safety, the CPU gets there for me.

Second being CPU INTs. I still throw almost 30 picks a year. I know some aren't good throws, but some they close ridiculously fast. I'm playing on all-madden, but there seems to be a fine line with the sliders in completing 90% of my passes and throwing 4 picks/game.
