Pretty much all of my friends who I played with on the 360 went with the PS4, so it's not even a question which online community is better "for me".

Most of my friends were split last console generation, about half had Xbox because they were huge Halo fans and the rest of us had PS3, this year all but one has PS4.

Both user bases are big enough that you'll find plenty of random games on either, so just go with what most of your friends have.

I have both and honestly I tend to run into more kids on xbox1 then ps4.

I'm in the two TV club too. Combined with my headset it means I can play while my wife watches TV or whatever, or I can hog both and confuse myself by playing and watching the same sport.

As of now, there are 9 PS4 online leagues and 7 XB1 online leagues in the Madden Online forum. There are also about 40 more posts in the "I'm looking for a ___ Madden League" for PS4 than XB1.

Obviously that's not a full-proof method of determination, but it looks like PS4 might have a slight edge
