Re: Zone Coverage

Unfortunately you guys are over-looking my initial questions.

Shading doesn't work in this game. If I am in Man, and shade inside because I know a slant is coming, the DB should get in front of the slant immediately, same with under coverage. I did over coverage on a man prevent, and my players allowed a 65 yard Hail Mary for a TD to Torrey Smith with 1 second on the clock.

As for the zone, it can be an empty side, with a HB going straight out immediately and the CB doesn't even look his way. After hyping up the improvement in Defense, I think the defense this year (for users) its actually Swiss cheese. Zone hardly works, man gets killed on almost every type of route, etc.

As for the rating of my players, I had a 2nd year rookie and Prince Amukamara, both 99 Press, and coverage in the 90s. Not to mention their 99 confidence that probably maxed their coverage attributes out. I've also built a created defense, with LOB, Haden instead of Maxwell, Bowman Willis, Suh, Fairley, Dareus, Hali, Houston and still couldn't get a consistent defense going in a play now vs the Jaguars lol.

I'm going to take it, no one actually has an answer for shading and covering the flats without usering.

We don't. Seems to me you know what your talking about in football terms. You just can't execute right in Madden. It's the game.

if you choose protect the sticks on defense they play the flats better and sometimes you get beat deep but i want them to test me deep so i give up that chance so try doing that tell me what you find out

Its the game for sure. Maybe next year they will hire some folks who know football and how to translate that onto video game screen but I doubt it. It seems to me they keep building on a core game that was flawed to begin with. Kind of like how windows was built on dos.
Bad foundation, bad game no matter how hard they try and shine sh*t
