I don't about cheese but the spinning and bad physics just make these videos ugly to watch. I wished it looked like this...

The players in this video just move so much more naturally. I really like the goal at the 1:00 Mark. He fiegns with his right foot and kicks with his left heel. When you see that, it's just, wow.

That gameplay looked Rock Bottom. Not sure how anyone could get amped about playing Madden after watching that.

Yeah I didn't see any cheese. Just arcade action. Which is fine, all games can look unrealistic with certain people controlling them. It's just Madden doesn't have that other side, in my opinion, where it looks like a realistic game. There's no penalty for all those spins, the changes in direction, it's just arcade.

While the game does have its share of outrageous moments I believe it can still come across as a sim. I don't believe there is anything overly arcade like in this video. It was made in a rush so the quality sucks and was made to only show off offense but at its best Madden plays in what I see as a decent sim (though it obviously needs to be improved in some places).

Sorry about the quality.

EDIT:

This is default All-Madden.

@Baller, while there isn't anything cheesy or arcade in the User game play in your video, in contrast to the OP's video, the overall game in your video is. Meaning, Madden just has too much of an arcade foundation and it sticks out like a sore thumb no matter how it's played.

Like has been stated time and time again, the way Madden animates player interaction and movement seems to be a core issue. It doesn't give me the illusion/impression of real people playing football, like The Show and NBA2k do for their sports. Then we get into the rushed feel of the game play, where it's all about just getting the game over with as quickly as possible. Madden plays out like a Cliff Notes version of NFL football and it seems to be an intentional design decision. Like I mentioned in another thread, I will never understand using anything other than the game clock/quarter length to dictate how long a sports video game should take to play. The fact that EA/Tiburon "streamlines" real football elements in game play to expedite games, makes watching any game of Madden feel disjointed and arcade to me.

Actually I personally think that spin is less OP than it was in previous games. Unless my player's spin is 90+, I really feel like the move is sluggish compared to before where I could spin out of the way of defenders with a guy who had 50 spin with ease. There are even times when my guy spins into the completely wrong direction from what I was trying to get him to do, causing him to get tackled in what otherwise would have been a touchdown.

This. We'll just have to agree to disagree. While your video looks alot better than the original video in this thread, it doesn't make me believe Madden is anymore realistic than the original video, lol. Like Big said, animations still aren't realistic or fluid, the flow of the game doesn't remind me of the NFL, and the presentation comes off rushed and disconnected. Madden is just an arcade style game to me.
