Plus hopefully videos on AP or higher.
hmm that begs a question i always wanted to ask the developers. Do they test the game at all madden or higher (sliders for cpu set to 99 and player at 50) just to see if the stats they set up for players are still being accounted for and if core gameplay mechanics get broken? I'm fairly certain in past games they barely even looked. Pretty bad when you can put a qb as a lt and he perform just as well as a 99 overall one, which isn't good either way. Point being all madden usually doesn't pay attention to ratings of players, it handicapped human team.

Yes we only have one video to go by and won't know everything until it hits retails and we can play it ourselves. And like most sports games you have to tweak it to your skill level using sliders. Some people forget that this is a video game and certain things cannot be done to make it real as possible. It isn't as easy as pushing a button and oh there it is. Realism! sorry doesn't fly. Lots of coding, research, trial and error, etc. damn now you got me defending madden. Ugh. I just hate entitled gamers. "You know it should be this easy!!!" I don't see you making games. Hard work goes into things.
So basically, because his view doesn't line up with yours, he's "entitled".

And because a developers job is hard, he--the consumer who literally helps the developer make a living--has no right to criticize the developers work? Are you serious? I find that line of thinking totally absurd.

I develop games for a living and have for quite some time, and yep, it's hard, but that has nothing to do with anything. He--the gamer--has every right to criticize because without the gamer there is no game, there is no industry, there is nothing. The gamers keeps this ship afloat, not the developers, and I make sure to stay aware of that every single day and be grateful that the gamers are out there spending money to help me survive, and as long as they keep doing that they can keep criticizing my work as much as they want and I'm going to try to make it better for them based on that criticism because that's my job.

Some (including me) would argue do they test the game at all as far as anything not related to crashes etc...
Seeing how the bulk of the slders haven't worked in ages I doubt they test that. I could be wrong though.

Maybe not in mini-mut (draft champions), but what about in CFM where you can apply XP to these traits?

Madden is slowly getting better and if you can't see or acknowledge that you just have a case of never ending Mondays.

I love the concept of Draft Champions and could see myself sinking many an evening into it, but we'd better be able to up the quarter length. 3 minute quarters don't resemble a game of football for me at all.

Also it'd be neat if it kept track of your past teams and their results, but that's not necessary.

Here comes Dez!

I went into the Draft Champions mode with tepid interest but left pretty impressed. Each pick forces the user to make interesting decisions with respect to personnel, and there's commentary by Adam Schefter about each pick. I found it quite engaging and think it's going to be a great pick-up-and-play mode.

I'll post different impressions of the game in other threads, but my thought specific to Draft Champions is that it could end up being a sleeper hit. It's a different and interesting new way to experience Madden.
Reminds me a bit of All Pro 2k8 building a team - that was always fun.
