Catch results pre-determined in the air

Nance starts calling the reception before the ball even arrives to TY Hilton. I'm not sure how that works if there are more than two players that will interact at the catch point, but it's obvious that the game decides the result and how the animation will play out long before you see it. In this case it seems to be as soon as I "declared" for an aggressive defense.

That's funny the Vikings radio announcer Paul Allen calls a catch right before the receiver drops it.

i had the same thing happen a few days ago. only he got the call wrong (said receiver caught it but the pass was broken up).

its not like this changes anything about the game anyway

It depends on how early the game makes that decision. In my case it made it as soon as I hit the aggressive D button, but there was still time for either of us to move. It also isn't clear if it includes any 3rd players in that decision, ie a safety coming over with bad intentions.

In any event, I've long suspected the game makes the decision on results a lot earlier then it would appear and this confirmed it for me.

This game is so unrealistic. Luck would never get that much time to throw in real life and even if he did get the throw off, that pass would have been picked off.

I'll disagree on this one.

If Nantz or Sims calls something in the air and the result is different, I just chalk it up to wrong call.

Announcers in NFL games make predetermined guess of some outcomes of plays.

lol I'm sorry but I laughed. Everyone picking on Luck but the O line is sure not helping him. I was totally shocked, I really thought the Colts would respond in their home opener.

On topic though... I wouldn't notice things like this about the game if I didn't visit this site. I am not too picky when it comes to video games, after all it's just a game.

Do you honestly think that's what's happening here?
