Re: How's your CFM going? M17 edition

After holding Aaron Rodgers to under 50% for the game and allowing only 2 FGs over 3.5 qtrs, Rodgers comes out and tosses TD passes of 60 and 69 yards in the 4th to give GB a 20-16 lead before our Rookie QB Evan Goldman tosses his 3rd INT of the game with 0:03 left to play.

We fall 20-16 and to 7-5 on the season

Finished 1-3 in Season 1 Pre-Season with the Browns, RGIII won the QB battle, but not by a large margin. will be without Gordon for the first 4 games due to suspension, and lost Gary Barnidge for first 6 weeks due to a dislocated ankle. should be an interesting start to the season. All players know that OVR means nothing, results do and thats who will play.

Both my wins were big blowouts, in one I had a WR with 10 catches , 200 yds, and four TDs... and a QB with matching gaudy statistics. In the other my QB had 6 TD passes. Now in both games my QB did throw a pick, but in both he had over 400 yds and 4+ TDs... and a LB with a (garbage time) pick six and a few tackles won the MVP in both games.

I would like to be able to pick the winner - especially if there's legacy points to be had.
Yeah a defensive td always gets SB MVP. It's been like that for ages, as far back as M12.

MIAMI DOLHPINS 2017 SEASON

Through 10 weeks, we are 8-1. Definitely a rather surprising season so far. It was a good team last year at 9-7, but to jump out to 8-1 was rather unexpected. Patriots are close behind with 6 wins so far (their rookie QB is doing well).

Speaking of NE, 49-35 (not super close the whole game, just some last minute scoring by the Pats.) That was week 5. In week 6, we won 51-31 over Denver. Denver still has championship pieces, but was 1-4 at that point...Tannehill went wild downfield. Had 253 yards, 3 TDs along with a fumble and an INT. The only new news in the backfield is that Drake and Frazier are not very good this year. A couple big runs each, but not much consistency. Parker has been injury prone, missing three games, but still has over 600 yards on the year. Leonte Carroo came in for Parker in this game and recorded 3 catches for 128 yards, and a TD. J.J. Nelson got the start in the slot and had 51 yards and a TD. On defense, Patten and Pettway combined for a sack and Jalen Mills nabbed his first interception of his career.

Onto week 7, the Bucs came to town and beat us in the rain. Final was 23-19. They got ahead 20-3, but a late surge by us came up short. Winston completed 86% of his passes and had 3 TDs. Martin ran wild, earning 141 yards at 4.7 ypc. Ajayi was slowed down, finishing with 54 yards. Tannehill had 2 TDs and 2 INTs. Nelson built on last weeks game and had a stat line of 3-126-1. Nelson manning the slot is a no brainer now. His 82 route running and being one of the fastest players on the field make the intermediate-deep crossing routes almost unstoppable against the right coverage. Pettingway, Patten, and Suh all had at least half a sack. Sio Moore had a sack plus 12 total tackles. The story of this game though, was the Bucs domination of the trenches.

Speaking of trenches, Billy Turner would not except a contract less than two years so he will walk at season's end. Same thing for Earl Mitchell.

Week 8
We beat the Bills in their stadium 51-34. It was back and forth all game Actually was 34-34 with 3 minutes in the game, but in back-to-back possessions, Banks Snell and Jelani Jenkins intercepted passes deep in Bill territory and Tannehill and the offense took advantage. The problem with the current settings and defensive talent level, is that the Bills ran 100 plays. ONE HUNDRED. PLAYS. McCoy had 200 yards on the ground and almost 5 ypc. Nelson was a beast for us. His stat line was 5-174-3. He is a MONSTER in the slot man I do not know why I never thought to take Whalen to the bench earlier. Gosh it is ridiculous. Ajayi only had 78 yards, but left with a lower back strain. Frazier picked up the slack with a couple long runs and 2 TDs. Sio Moore had 21 total tackles and before week 10, led the league with 91.

Week 10
Resigned Sio Moore to a 4 year $13 million (total) deal. Won;t resign Kaepernick until maybe the offseason or next preseason. I want to maybe pick up Griffin instead. Against the Jets, we won 45-38. The game was not close until Tannehill threw an INT with only a couple minutes to go almost leading to a come back. But MAAAAN I need different sliders. Hackenberg went 26-44, 370 yards, and 3 TDs (1 INT.) Forte had 123 yards and 2 TDs. Three receivers of theirs had at least 5 catches and 70 yards. Ugh.

Still Tannehill went 23-37, 364 yards (WOW!) and 2 TDs (plus 2 INTs.) Ajayi was mediocre until he broke a big run and scored a second TD (had 0 yards on the day. He led the league before week 10 in rushing with 728 yards.) Nelson continues to dominate. His stat line was incredible: 10-218-1. Parker and Patterson each had 50 yards. I have three receivers with at leasr 500 yards on the year and two of them are averaging over 20 yards a catch!! Bobby McCain recorded his team leading 3rd INT on the year. It is nice to see him and Nelson (even though McCain is not starting) developing and making plays.

Side note: The draft seems crazy top heavy. I mean that the projected first and early second rounders all seem to belong there (true value is as high or higher than the projected), but past that, almost every single other player I have scouted seems to be a 5th round pick at most. Damn.

Pretty realistic though. In 2014, 49% of all pros were first rounders and like 17% were second rounders. Around 35-40% of starters were former first rounders, like 20% were former second rounders. Makes sense that around 65-75% of the top talent is in the first couple rounds. Drafts should be top heavy. In 16 first rounders barely seemed more valuable than third rounders because you could regularly get top guys in rounds 3-6 every single draft

In my 2 back running game my bell cow back goes down for the playoffs. I sign Kapri Bibbs and he ends up super bowl mvp.

Re: How's your CFM going? M17 edition

So since it was my 1st season with the Cards after being fired by the Browns I decided to sim the season and start new with Draft picks in the 2020 draft. Boy was i in for a surprise. Turns out by the end of the season we make the wild card along with my old team the Browns. I end up making it to the Super Bowl and guess who's there, the Browns! I decided to take my anger out on them and proceeded to blow them the hell out. They had all rookie CBs in because Haden was out so i took advantage to say lightly. Jameis W. threw for 400+ and 8TDs, 5 of them went to John Brown who torched his man every drive. It was embarrassing, we ended up winning 56-16 lmao, the only TD they had was an pop up pick six near my goal line in the first quarter.

Now bring on the draft for a repeat
