Re: Is Kicking Aids or....?

What kicker are people struggling with? It could be using a low KAC kicker

Is it just me or does the wind effect seem to be opposite..... it'll show 12mph to the right but push the ball left.......8mph against me but the ball flys into the stands on kickoffs...

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Only time I really struggle is in draft champions because you get a scrub kicker.

The kickers stats are taken into account. It affects the power window and the accuracy window that you can stop in and how negatively it affects the kick.

Re: Is Kicking Aids or....?

I love the new kicking system. I feel great when I hit a long fg. Had one game where I hit 3 over 50 including a 61 yarder. Also had a game where I sent a 34 yard fg off of the upright.

Re: Is Kicking Aids or....?

edit: after reviewing the entire thread I see this was touched on a few pages back. Basically it was that there's a bar at the top that if you go over then it will be a wild kick.
------------------------------------------

I was working with someone about this tonight, and we discovered you can "over kick"

or what we presume is actually happening, is once the power meter hits the top, it goes poof. No matter where you hit it on the way back down, it goes wild. maybe it really is an over kick, but at first we thought it was just dropping the button press at the top.

So stopping it juts shy of the top every time, as long as we hit the zone for accuracy (or came close) the kick did what we wanted it to.

Also on shorter field goals and punts, don't even try to close-max it. Found this especially helpful online with the lag, as the harder the kick is the smaller the accuracy box shrinks.

Biggest complaint is online though, the timing can vary wildly due to connections. I have gotten a lot better since release, but every fourth of fifth game I get some crazy input delay on the kicking meter.

Re: Is Kicking Aids or....?

I've given up. Last night, I missed two extra points, and a FG from the 10 yard line that I did perfectly (on the X marks). I'm just going to sim all kicks from now on. I've been playing this game for 25 years. Short kicks should be the easiest part of the game, not the hardest.
