Re: Madden 17 Realistic Trade Discussion

Mccown would probably go for a 5th at best at this point in his career, and that's if the other team was desperate(like maybe Dallas right now)

Slay isn't elite, but he's one of the best corners in the game? Is that not what elite means? And find me a trade worse than the one you made that happened irl.

Josh Norman, Patrick Peterson are elite. Slay is "one of the best" corners in the game. Just not in their league.

And Randy Moss being traded for just a 4th round pick comes in mind.

Firstly, I said borderline elite. Also, wasn't that when Randy was coming off of his bad Oakland years? There was no reason to believe he'd ever be a superstar again. Stop trying to justify fleecing the cpu.

That depends on multiple factors. Here are some trades from the past few years involving players of Haden's caliber:

Brandon Marshall (and 7th) - 5th round pick.
Haloti Ngata (and 7th) - 4th and 5th.
Ben Grubbs - 5th
Mike Wallace - 5th and 7th
Jared Allen - 6th
Vernon Davis - Two 6th's and 7th
Barkevious Mingo - 5th
Demarco Murray - 4th
Vontae Davis - 2nd

In Madden I probably could have gotten multiple 2nd's but I like to make my trades come close to real life resemblance. Some teams in real life might give up more than a 4th depending on needs. But I was a happy with a 4th.

0ther than Ngata, and Vontae Davis all those other guys have/had serious, age, character, scheme fit, or injury issues. Haden is no model of health, but he is still in the prime of his career, and will be IMO for at least the next 2-3 years.

I personally would not let Haden off my roster for anything less than a 2. Especially having to face Antonio Brown and AJ Green Twice a year..
