Now, the shifter backs can still make some misses happen but on a much more believable level. This has improved the run game.

QBs still fumble too much, while other positions hardly fumble at all.

Biggest game killer still present is the poor defensive pursuit, particularly by safeties and LBs to the boundary. They run straight ahead as if defending the A gap instead of maintaining outside leverage and take themselves out of the play.

I have also seen far too frequent glitchy defensive behaviors. Safety stopping (frozen) at LOS and watching RB run right past them for a TD (not when blitzing, so not nano blitz detection- which needs to be eliminated off line) instead of pursuing into back field to make a tackle. Safety not covering their deep half in cover two, allowing receiver to stand wide open in the end zone without a defender in the area, etc. This is a 90 plus rated safety! Really kills the immersion.

Hopefully the pursuit issues will be addressed in the full patch upcoming.

Delivering on the "working auto subs" promise would be a welcome surprise as well.
Cpu running ability is really the only change I saw. Not many games under my belt. But what I saw....No more 65 yd td runs out of nowhere. By average backs. So that's why I said this last tuner was a good one

No idea what happened but in my Jets CFM (All Madden, my own sliders) CPU pass coverage (which I have turned down a bit and WRC is up) is impenetrable now. I played four games over the weekend and Brandon Marshall had 10 receptions over those four games and I look his way nearly every passing play. He was open very rarely. Same deal for Decker.

I still see the CPU playing press coverage 90% of the time, Marshall could never beat the CB on a slant or beat them deep when there was no safety help (which is still too often IMO). I've been forced to throw to my TEs and RBs a vast majority of the time.

I have a buddy of mine playing on my sliders too and he's experienced the same thing. Anyone else seeing something similar?

Curious to what other coach mode players might be seeing with the new tuner. I just completed a 6-game test on AP with all default sliders (right out of the box) using 9 min./no accelerated clock. Overall, I will be deleting the tuner.

While I did like that the run game was toned down (a little too much IMO...CPU never ran more than 100 yards on me), the passing game was worse. In 6 games, both USER and CPU teams threw for more than 300+ yards, scoring was 60+ points a game combined, and pass completion averaged ~75% for both sides. DBs rarely broke up passes and passing against zone coverage was hardly a risk. And I just couldn't stomach watching Paxton Lynch (I was the Broncos) throwing 3 TDs a game with 300+ passing yards over and over again. Also, I know the Broncos have a good D, but in 6 games, I had 30 sacks, with Von Miller getting 10 of those.

Again, this is just my experience using Coach Mode, so this was with no human intervention.

Personally, I hope they make more adjustments before the next patch and address the passing game, because I know once the patch goes out, I can't delete the tuner anymore.

The main thing I have noticed from the turner is its harder for me to run the ball. That's with Elliott (year 2 up to an 86) and that Dallas offensive line. I get a few yards here and there, usually hit by the time I get to my line and then I will break a long run to make my numbers look good.

I deleted the tuner and I m convince I like it more without it. I can tell that they make tackling stronger on tuner. Without tuner I see more rag n doll effect and physic. With tuner most tackles are scripted events. I'm wondering if there will be a way to avoid the patch. I'm on ps4. I'm not sure if I can pause and update and still play the game. I don't do online.

These are my thoughts exactly. You can avoid the patch by turning off the option to connect to the Internet in settings prior to starting Madden.

I'll be doing the same after I grab Roverts custom roster.

But the downloads doesn't start as soon as you turn your ps4?
