So my question is when is pressing a good idea. Is there a tactical advantage to pressing?

In this game my advice would be depending on who you are playing don't do it unless you are playing on a short field. If you are playing people who know about certain routes then pressing can = a 1 play TD even in 2 man under. So I'd say, from the 20 in. No need to frustrate yourself in giving up big plays.

Now if you are playing against the cpu then that's different. You can press the cpu.

Re: To press or not to press corners

It seems like It just leads to easy completions against me. Especially on fly routes. I think disrupting routes doesn't have enough of an effect on wide receiver or qb accuracy.

Or play with press timing. instead of gloabl press, Press early on a single recvr then back off before snap or vice versa. Try to get a feel for snap timing use movement to make them waste routes/time/reads/audibles.
