Beating Cover 2 defense

Can anyone help me beat the cover 2 defense? My buddy is very tough to beat and he runs it a lot of the time and it stops all my drags and slants. any advice?

Smash concepts, divide concepts, levels, texas route/hb angle route-w/ a TE running the seam to clear out the middle linebacker. Do not be afraid to take the short throws, and do not force it deep.

Agree with the above poster.

Also wanted to add, while it takes a QB with good arm strength, the fly route on the outside is always open in the gap between the safety playing deep and the corner playing shallow taking away the flat. Just make sure to throw it towards the sideline and not inside or the corner will pick it every time.

Dagger is my personal favorite for beating C2. If they leave it normal the crossing under route will be wide open for a pretty hefty gain. If they choose to audible to cover under the Seam gets open as does the in route.

Or are you looking at it the wrong way, he is playing Cover 2 all the time because you are using drags and slants too much? Agree with all the other posters, mix up the routes a bit.

If he's 2 high you should have numbers in the box and be able to run it consistently until he adjusts.
