As someone who been a LB his whole life the fact that you can't touch a tight end in this game drives me insane. You can't chuck or shove them off the line it's always always always a free release

I've been asking for years for a way to jam the TE. They are always open because there is no code for them to be thrown off their route.

Hopefully the new WR/DB play will include the TE.

Count me as very surprised if it is something like a reticle that appears at the snap and the user must move it across the entire field when passing. That would however meet Rex's difficult to learn statement.

Yeah, I think this is what I'm picturing as well. I think it shows up when u press the WR button, as well, and then u have to quickly manipulate where u want it by the time the ball is released from QB. I'm just terribly curious how quickly it moves for u. How pressure sensitive is it to the pressure of the stick? Things like that.

And, yeah, if it's a reticle that starts at the beginning of the play, forget about it. That sounds awful!

Just the opposite for me. If the reticule is quick & snappy, I would rather it appeared somewhere (maybe over the center?) once the ball was snapped & I could freely move it from there. That way if I get in trouble, I can chuck it wherever I want, even if it's into the dirt. Accurate penalties would be needed for it to work though, like intentional grounding and the like.

And if you don't have as much time as you'd like to throw it, then you'd better upgrade your line. I like the sound of this feature. Real life QB's get 3 seconds on average or so, right? We get to play on God-Cam, so if you're good you'll learn to get the ball out in 3 too!

Edit: to add to that, I like the idea someone had of left & right trigger for left or right handed QB's. But we still need scrambling ability, so my guess would be right trigger for throwing & hold down left trigger to scramble (or vice versa).

Good pointon QB scrambling. I forgot about it. I guess the shoulder buttons would be for passing then.

It would be interesting where the reticle's point of origin is at the snap. I'm guessing we'll be able to default to the area of the first read in the progression, but we should also be able to have it start nearly anywhere if we choose.

It will probably be like how their NCAA football reticule was. It's not tied to anything and you can just click in on your stick to bring it up at anytime and then you can move it anywhere.

This is a tough one. We've got a lot of speculation on this. I guess we'll see it in action, I hope, this weekend. I know ea play is this weekend. But, I can't remember how they did it last year. Do they show live footage of gameplay? Like, on June 10th, will we see gameplay footage? Because, I remember how particular gamers, maybe specifically, gamechangers created 2-3 min clips that were approved for content by ea or something? Does anyone know this? When will we see the first piece of decent gameplay footage that would probably show this reticule?

I'm sure I can adjust to whatever, but I still think I'd rather not bother with the reticule right away from the snap. I want to look at my first read and/or pass rush issues right after the snap. I feel like controlling a reticule the entire time would ruin QB scrambling ability (or MY scrambling ability. Lol). But, if I'm concentrated on WRs, in general, I can still do everything the same, but then when I fire to a WR, the reticule could pop up, and I can adjust exactly where I want the throw to go in relation to the WR. And, I think they would prefer to keep the WR buttons as that has been in madden forever. So, I would think the reticule would be a quick adjustment to that. But, we'll see.

And, again, if anyone knows the most precise date/time we will see vid game footage of this would be appreciated. This is possibly one of the most interesting addition from Rex's team and I'm really curious to see it in motion, so I can feel ecstatic or cringe, hard. Lol.

So would you prefer the game to kind of go in slow motion once you pressed the receiver icon? I might be misunderstanding you.

If I'm throwing a slant, once I press 'B' to throw to my B WR, I'm not sure there's time to aim something after that before the QB releases the ball. Or maybe you meant "press B to bring up B's reticule, aim, press B again"? Sorry if I'm being confusing. I'm just curious.

EA has a conference on the 10th I believe, maybe we'll get lucky and see a live demonstration of it. I remember a while back they brought out Joe Montana to demo the Kinect voice commands, so it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility.
