Yes you absolutely can. You can use that on anything. For the past couple of years I've used it on Madden and gotten Madden for pretty much next to nothing and so have a lot of folks.

Can confirm this as well. Went to Best Buy Sunday morning, traded in M17, got a $15 Gift Card and a $10 coupon. Used the $15 coupon as my pre-order down-payment for M18 and they said I can use the $10 when I pay the balance when I pick up the game on 8/25. Physical copy only, no digital code.

Don't mean to derail the thread but I don't know how you can play on both systems. I mix up the color of the buttons really bad when I switch back and forth. I see blue on Xbox and I hit the button that corresponds with blue on PS4
