Or tie it into their injury history. A player who has suffered multiple leg related injuries is likely to suffer a quicker, heavier drop off of speed. Mind, it would need them to track injuries and connect injury frequency to how susceptible an individual player is to each injury.

This is really disappointing. They finally came close to nailing regression in M17 (it had faults for sure as not all players should drop at same age, some positions should be less hit, etc). But for the most part it was the best it has been. Look at NFL rosters and look at how many guys over 31 are still effective--especially at skill positions such as CB, WR, RB. They are few and far between and those that are still around are the ones that usually do not rely on speed (i.e. Boldin, Fitgerald, etc.).

To cap speed at 90 (or whatever the player was) is a terrible idea. Now we will have a glut of 32-40 year old players still playing effectively which almost never happens in real life (except at QB, K, P and sometimes at OL/DL).

Would love to see this implemented.

I mean, even the best don't casually bounce back from a Broken Tibia, or Complete ACL/PCL Tear like nothing ever happened.

That should heavily weigh in on the regression.

I'm more inclined to believe that the "-2 speed" and "-2 agility" didn't just come from the fact that the player is (Getting Older), but rather the -4 Speed popped up due to (Blowing his knee knee out in the 2nd season of his Career).
