My bad, I was in a hurry when posting. I should have said "checkerboard 4K." It looks nearly identical to native, but isn't native. Fifa & 2K hit it on some 30fps camera modes (per digital foundry).

Does it matter if it's checkerboard or native it's a higher res. on top of that most sports games are native 4k...and screen size has nothing to do with it so why say big screen ? any ways I have a 4k 65in hdr samsung ks8000 I want a better looking game then base systems that's why I got the pro and will pick up an xbox one X in November

I have the same tv. I mention screen size because you have to sit mighty close the smaller you go if you actually want to see it:

My original point is, everyone wants 4K because these companies told you to want it. But you should be wanting HDR. It is evident no matter the size, no matter the distance. I understand wanting to justify a purchase, but I'd take 1080p 60fps over 4K 30fps. But it's neither here nor there, really.


Edit: and again, per Digital Foundry, Fifa 17 & NBA 2K17 both hit 4K during "some 30fps camera modes". Not all of the time. So no, not "most sports games are native 4K", it's disengenuous to say so. I understand wanting to justify a purchase, and I'm not here to burst bubbles lol It's an amazing tv, we're very lucky! Things look great on the 65 KS8000.

Still feel the same way. HDR drop will coincide with the xb1x release still. I do feel for the Madden dev team, because I'm sure they'd drop awesome stuff regularly if it were up to them.
