Like with Von Miller, you might need to lower his salary/cap hit, trade him, edit it back to the original. Same with ET. The best player I was able to get without doing this was a 84 OVR RT with Quick Development but I had to give up a first and two thirds to get.
What's funny is we are probably seeing a buffed version from EA Play... Lots of people here said trading was TOO EASY during the EA Play videos.

Re: Madden 19 Trade Discussion

To hear trades are much harder is great news! I would rather it be too hard than too easy.

Re: Madden 19 Trade Discussion

Why would we be hoping for easier trades? Trades aren't a very common occurrence in the NFL. Especially Ravens giving up Jackson who they Just drafted. It should basically be impossible to get most of these players.

If you look at trades most are during the draft and most are for pick swaps and lower tier players. I hope they keep this trade logic.

Re: Madden 19 Trade Discussion

Don't get me wrong, I like that trades are tougher, it makes sense that trading for Lamar Jackson would be difficult. I'm not looking for it to be easier, I just mainly want to know if it's possible to get him at all. I had dreams of starting a franchise and making Jackson my starting QB from day 1, I just didn't want to have to do that with the Ravens.

Re: Madden 19 Trade Discussion

I have been trying different trades in a test franchise. Here are some trades I tried and the results:

Deshaun Watson:

Offered 1st (2019), 2nd (2019), 1st (2020)
Trade level was about halfway in the red.

Case Keenum:

Offered 1st (2019), 3rd (2019) and 5th (2020)
Accepted.

Ryan Tannehill:

Offered 1st (2019) and 3rd (2019)
Accepted.

It seems at lest in my sample size that teams actually value QB's now. Even trying to trade for some young rookies is harder. I offered a 2nd round pick in 2019 for Luke Falk and Kyle Lauletta neither team accepted. I had to include another later round pick (4th for Falk, 5th for Lauletta) to get them to accept.

It also seems much harder to stack draft picks this year.

So far I am loving the reworked trade logic. But I can already see this disappearing, people will complain it's too hard and they will tune it to be easy like every other year.

Re: Madden 19 Trade Discussion

Realistically it should be harder, look at how many trades happen in the NFL...

Tried a 2019 2nd, 2020 1st & 2020 2nd, all refused. I'll just have to move him over before it starts and then do a trade for a 7th for a 2nd.

Re: Madden 19 Trade Discussion

Had a short time left on ea access but tried trading for patrick pederson with the broncos trading demaryius thomas and todd davis as the cards needs were wr and mlb. Didn't come close to any interest. Added a 1st round pick and changed the bar from little interest to some interest. Bar was about half way.
