Even though I personally won’t be starting a Franchise with Baltimore, I will certainly be keeping tabs on how Jackson progresses throughout the years in Madden. He could be a handful when playing against depending what the CPU A.I is like.

I beat the Eagles in game 1, 30-23. Really a fun game, especially for first M19 game. I caused a fumble on the opening kickoff and scored a TD on first play after that with freeman. Really nice run through a beautiful hole. I immediately liked the rpm. Lol. I had 2 ints on wentz. Good back n forth game. Or, I went up by 14, but they came back. And, I used the clock appropriately before giving them the ball back with less than a min left. Because, they got the ball into my red zone, but I stopped them from tying the game with a TD.

2nd game. Absolutely blew out the panthers. Lol. I almost shut them out, but they finally scored a TD late. I think I won 40-7 or close to that score. Ryan and jones had a good day, and my D is becoming a much more ball hawking unit (I hope this happens in real life as well, lol). I think I had 3 ints and cam threw for 300.

3rd game vs saints. I got 4 picks of Brees. Lol. Idk if it’s the rivalry game factor or what, but I always pick breed. Rodgers as well, actually. It’s almost as it the better the qb, the more likely they throw deep or something and I get a few picks. But, this game was as close as it gets. Actually, I believe 3 of my picks were in my own red zone. Lol. So, my D saved me multiple times. They kicked 6 fgs for 18 points. Interesting note - on one drive, they kicked a fg, but I got called for roughing the kicker (animation wise, it was such a late call and kicker stepped on me, but whatever), and they took the points off the board, and then I intercepted him in the end zone. Lol. And, I mention this because that’s the difference, actually. I struggled to do anything on offense. They got 2-3 ints on me and I struggled to run until late in the game (when I really needed it). I stopped them before the 2 min warning down 18-16. I threw a couple tough passes to Julio and a decent screen to Coleman (freeman got injured). Then, I just ran Coleman up the middle to set the kicker up and run clock. He made a couple first downs, actually, as the D suddenly let him in. I think the game called D poorly, here, now that I think about it. They were expecting pass and playing zone D. The announcers were ON POINT, here, I must say. They mentioned the clock. They mentioned me running in the middle of the field to set up my kicker. They mentioned it all, correctly. That was pretty awesome. Anyways, I kicked the final fg with no time left and won a tough game 19-18. Lol.

So, I’m 3-0. I’ll probably start a fresh CFM when rosters are finalized for reg season. But, this was a fun start.

Fun read and glad to hear you’ve enjoyed the start thus far, even if it did involve you beating my Saints keep us informed weather you carry it on or start a new one over the coming days

My favorite forum every year. I'll sadly probably wait until November till I pick up 19 since September and October both have games I'll be sinking a lot of time into, but I look forward to reading everyone else's adventures in madden.

I'm still stuck in the Eagles/Jags load up game. I know my PS4 will continue to download if the system is powered off, but apparently, not Xbox.

Went in last night expecting the game to have downloaded... nope. Still at 55%

Once I get the game (PS4), I'll be doing a Jaguars franchise for 1 season to see if we can win the Super Bowl. Then I'll move onto the 49ers or Seahawks for a long term franchise. Pretty sure I'll be doing the 49ers but I am a Hawks fan IRL so it's finally the time to do a rebuild with them which makes it tempting to pick them.

He signed an extension a couple years ago that locked him up through 2021. If he ****s the bed this season, Baltimore can cut him next winter and free up a ton of cap space.

Re: How's your Franchise going? - Madden 19 Edition

simmed the first season and took over the 3-12-1 Buccs

went

10-6 with a wildcard win and out the next week, my team with no run game and a mediocre defense were carried by a 2nd round rookie QB who had 4000 yards and 30 TDs but had huge turnover issues that in the end was the reason we lost in the second round of the playoffs with 7 INTs and 4 fumbles in that game (game was simmed)

8-7-1 and missed the playoffs, saw an opportunity to sign Phillip Rivers and jumped on it but again no run game and the defense regressed to bad so even with the more efficient less turnover prone passing game couldnt recover from a 1-3 (4-6 at one point) start

14-2 and a Super Bowl win, with the highlight being in a wild race with 13-3 Atlanta (to whom the game gave the division and the first round bye to when we were 11-2 and 12-1 respectively) for the both the division and home field advantage in week 17 in which the now 3rd year QB, who took back over after Rivers retired, led a last second game winning drive to cap an almost MVP season performance, 4000 yards and 39 TDs. The main driver for the success of this season was all out aggressiveness during free agency, signing aged vets like Julius Peppers and Clay Matthews to rotate in from the bench, finally bringing in somewhat proven EDGE players Taco Charlton and Derek Barnett and for the first time going actually spending money at safety to bring Jabrill Peppers to pair with mainstay and over achiever Vonn Bell but most importantly trading for solid vet lineman that were on the trade block instead of attempting to draft another one (had used maybe 4 picks in the first 3 rounds the first 2 years only to get no improvement out of any of them but the Guard drafted at 5th overall, but there was a 5th rounder from the first year who filled in for injuries and played well) and signing Christian Mccaffrey who would fix my running issue with his 1300 rushing yards (and another 600ish receiving on 51 catches)

Things are going good, even with all the issues in the game i have to say

I love Madden so much

Re: How's your Franchise going? - Madden 19 Edition

Finished pre season 2-2 with the bears. Started the regular season 0-1 with a loss to the packers in OT. What a game. I was leading 28-17 with 6 min left in 4th packers got a field goal then with just under 2 min left in the 4th I punted to Green Bay who had no time outs left, Rodgers led the pack down field and scored a touch down with 26 left and converted the 2-point conversion. Packers got ball in OT and Rodgers led them to a field goal to take the lead. With about 4 min left in the overtime I’m driving downfield with Trubisky leading the way and then I throw a pick to end it. Rodgers had over 400 yards couple TDs and pick. Trubisky had around 270 yards 4 TD and 2 INT. Howard has 94 rushing yards with Cohen adding 46 of his own.

Had a lot of fun. Onto the Seahawks (0-1)
