Does Madden not save mid-game anymore?

Just wondering if this is a one-off. In previous Maddens I could turn off in the middle of the game and come back later and play where I left off. I did this today and came back and had to restart the game again. Has this changed? It is mildly annoying since occasionally I have take off mid-game since the games are long.

Do you play M19 on PC? Because when you in a CFM game, just press Alt+F4 and it will be saved at this point.

Nah I am on PS4, playing online CFM. Not sure what happened, I had to quit a game just before halftime but had to restart it when I came back to it.
