Madden NFL 20 Bugs / Glitches Thread

Not sure if technically a bug but 3 things missing from last year...


1. Can't set game speed.
2. Sim speed ALWAYS starts automatically on fast. Umm, how about start at normal by default like before and then we can speed it up, instead of 10 plays going by before we can hit square button and slow it down!
3. Can't select plays by concept, and in-game cannot select defensive plays by situation. You used to be able to select by "Stop deep middle", etc. and that has disappeared.

I had a similar experience to what you've described in both offline CFM and exhibition modes. With the exception of my saved data, uninstalling and reinstalling the game fixed the missing kick meter I had happen for the 1st time since this patch launched.

Also, until or unless this matter is addressed, we cannot touch the pause button or attempt to record dvr clip after a timeout is called. If we do during a user timeout, the between-play cut scene will continue while no plays come up to be selected, leading to a delay of game penalty. If we try to hit pause button after the CPU calls timeout, we will again not be able to select a play and one will be randomly assigned.

Few fun ones from today:

1) Had two potential game-winning field goals blocked last offline game. Perfect accuracy, perfect power on the first. Didn’t matter. Still blocked. Just pointing this out to prove that blocked kicks are unavoidable.

2) Lost the coin toss, so I kicked off to start said game. But for some reason I had to kick off to start the second half, too.

3) AI called timeouts twice in the game. On both occasions, the select a play menu disappeared, the pause button didn’t work so I couldn’t pause, the timeout button didn’t work and players stood around until the play clock expired.

Blocked kicks are a joke, and are only accomplished through glitches and animations. Proof? Notice how just before a kick is blocked by a CPU player, the kicker pauses and is a half-second slower coming up to the ball. That's why it's blocked, it has nothing to do with making a good rush because when I'm trying to block kicks the CPU kicker never gives me the same courtesy.

Platform: XBox One

Function: Any type of Franchise mode

Bug: This has always been a bug in every version of the game ever!
If you play part way into a season and have any player accumulating stats during a game. For instance he plays for a team in weeks 1, & 3 but is then traded or released and picked up by a new team. If you look at games 1-3 for the original team he played for you will notice his stats have been removed from the weekly games stat window, Basically the old teams weekly stats won’t add up anymore. Conversely, if you look at the players new teams game stats for the weeks 1-3 you will notice his stats have now been added to so nothing adds up here either.
Also the if you look in the yearly stats of the teams involved you will notice the players stats move with him as well.
What should happen is, when a game is played and concluded, the stats for that game should be frozen. Equally his yearly stats should be frozen & remain with the original team & start accumulating again with the new team.
This should then be totalled for the player at the end of the year.
This may seem insignificant to most but this has always bugged me!

Can you repeat it: Hell yes, in every version of Madden ever!

Has this bugged anyone else or just me?

Platform (XBOX One / XBOX One X / PS4 / PS4 Pro / PC): PS4

Bug (Be Specific): Game will not end if timeout taken at 0:00 in the 4th quarter. The announcers talk about the game but the camera just pans around the stadium. The end if game menu never comes up. No button combo will fix it. Can’t exit the game. If you close the application the menu does not have a “game in progress”. So the game is lost.

Game Mode Experienced In: Offline franchise.

Can you reproduce it? How?: It happened to me two times in a row on the same game in franchise. Handed the ball off on the last play of the game. Tackle happened with 0:01 remaining. Tried to call a timeout, the timeout was taken (charged a timeout and the timeout indicator came up) but the game ended anyway. And then wouldn’t move on as described above.
