This is definitely an animation issue with certain quarterback arch-types. I use Nick Foles, and it happens 3-5 times a game. When there is pressure up the middle, he stutter steps backwards, facing the wrong way.

I don't have 20, but I can tell you that setting a QB trait to Trigger Happy helps a lot....at least in 19.
