If the game on the field plays like real football should then yes, it would be simulation.

Technically, if you change a rule here or there (XFL style), it is no longer a simulation of the NFL game. Right?

If 2k now has the NFL license, I hope that the NFL wouldn’t want something totally over the top that doesn’t represent football.

Just frustrating. Give us a glimmer of hope 2k!

EA had to sign off on the agreement. There is zero chance they agreed to anything that would allow 2K to do something as simple as a rule change to fall under the spectrum of non-sim.

There are quite a few who are hopeful that this allows 2k to get their foot back in the door and maybe convince the NFL to not to exclusive when the deal is up, and that is the best hope.

The hope that 2k can create any sort of realistic 11 on 11 football game is non existent and even most of the most ardent critics of EA will agree.

There is a difference between hope and desperation.

Some Madden franchise tidbits in Unique Mazique's MyNBA youtube video, "Talking NBA 2K21 - Next-Gen MyNBA - the New MyLeague and MyGM."

Interestingly, he thinks that Madden franchise is and will be moving forward due the bad PR caused by MyNBA.

I watched that too. Frankly, whatever it takes to get franchise in a much better place is fine. I do think that #fixmaddenfranchise + MyNBA will get EA/Tiburon’s attention to where they’ll take Madden’s franchise mode a step further the next two years. If that’s true, it’s unfortunate that’s what it took.. but as I said whatever it takes to get there I’m fine with. If M22 drops and it’s a weak attempt as far as Franchise goes I believe the heat will be heavy. Especially if NBA 2K22 bolsters their mode even more.

2k21 is bringing the thing I’ve been waiting for from every sports game since the 90s when FPS Baseball pro pulled it off. The ability to start with fewer teams, making it possible to run historical rosters without being burdened with filler teams. 🎉🎉🎉
