Number 1 is definitely the most needed. They used the NHL game as an example of dynamic defense but NFL2k had the VIP that tracked and saved all your tendencies. The ai would play like those tendencies so you could play against your friends or even your own styles.

Implementing this in madden would make each team actually play unique and kill money plays that make this game so boring to play

Fully agree.

I also mentioned the VIP system earlier. It would be cool for the Teams to actually play true to them selves. Playing the CPU is so boring. They should be able to adjust to what I'm doing, especially during the course of the season. It feels like CPU calls plays based on the "Coach Plays" tab in Playcalling.

Literally EVERY major sports title has better franchise and less focus on the gambling mechanic.
Now, why not 2K? Most people say the Franchise equivalents are miles better. Why exclude one that shows my argument to be right?

So yeah, give me 2K, sure, or the people who run the Show. Hell, I’ll even take EA’s NHL team, based kn what I’ve heard.

None of these games has the singleminded commitment to the gambling mechanic that Madden does (even FIFA has managed to put aside resources to revamp career mode), and I don’t think they can, due to the branding Madden has created. Even other sports titles that utilize the gambling mechanic still mysteriously seem to find the resources for better Franchise/immersion aspects.

About the only places where Madden competes in terms of immersion is commentary and graphics.


And as REX DICKSON said (you know, the guy who knows personally about it more than anyone here) the gambling mechanic siphoned resources from Franchise.

So yeah, that’s what I’d trade for: leadership that doesn’t focus entirely on gambling mechanics and extra purchase transactions to the detriment of other modes (with the exception of when consumers revolt).
