As far as abilities which are _underpowered_ : I use the Cowboys a lot, and I have never felt like I got any benefit from Dak Prescott having Anchored Extender. It says it increases the chances of breaking out of sacks by defensive backs, but even on the rare occasions when my opponents blitz DBs and they get home, I never see it activate.

I think most of the x factors are overpowered. For the most part I feel like the abilities are fine but have them turned off because of the x factor x man thing.

They do change. Players lose them or gain them at the end of seasons. It's a bit random and has little to do with performance. My SS DE finished top 10 in sacks and TFLs and reverted to Star dev after year one.

I have to agree it seems random.
