Re: The spin move

I just finished up playing the NCAA demo. Highly disappointed but that is a separate topic.(every game I was scoring 35+ points on all American and Heisman)

The open field "break your ankles" spin move is still alive and overly effective but not as bad as M09(its more 5 out of 10 times will break someones ankles) Its funny, I can pick up any EA football game(dating back years now) and be able to perform the spin perfectly with nearly any player to easily gain big yardage by making the first man miss.

I can understand if it is not address for M10 but I really hope while you are looking into a new locomotion system that you stop and change how the spin move is used in M11.

Re: The spin move

The spin move is essentially a juke move.

No one spins to evade tackles. You become too predictable and locked in motion. And you can't see your defender.

I'm not saying thats impossible to spin juke a defender but its not the 1st weapon you'd pull out in a fight.

Spin move should be used to escape tackles, not evade tackles, if that makes any sense.

Re: The spin move

i admit that since there is no real juke but i spin in the open field. its too effective for the wrong reasons. a spin is used for when a guy is within range to tackle you and you spin to make him less likely to grab you and ultimately bring you down. if you do it too soon in real life you slow down and you'll get tackled anyway. if you do it too late you'll just get wrapped up. the players shouldn't automatically fall when they see a guy spinning. if only ea brought back the quick jukes......

They definitely slowed it down. Its not as spinny as it used to.

You can still juke with it sometimes.

I guess its working its way to be more sim next year.

Still its not too bad.

I was using TeBow and did a QB run to the right and spun past a CB and a SS(broken ankles again) and just sprinted down the field for the TD. I dont recall him being a ballerina IRL although I think FL haters would like to think that lol

Its changed some for the better so I cant be all negative.

Re: The spin move

Perhaps one they rework the running animations for next year, this gets fixed as well. I think the spin as well as the jukes to a degree are all tied to the running animations (as they should be since they are in the same context) and will be addressed at the same time - or we can only hope -
