How does the Lockout affect you in regards to Madden 12?

I'd like to say that will not buy Madden until the lockout is settled but, I'd probably be lying to myself.

It will be over by then, legal wrangling should be done for the most part mid-June, both parties will have determined their leverage and they'll get back to genuinely trying to settle the lawsuit.

Either way, no effect on whether or not I purchase it, NCAA + Madden provide the most hours of gameplay for my money in a day and age where single player games can last as little as 5 hours.

The lockout has no effect on my decision to buy Madden, only gameplay improvements have. And I have not seen anything yet that makes me want to buy the game.

However, the lockout might have an effect in terms of me possibly not playing fantasy football this year, but that's a whole other issue.

I don't suspect that any games will be affected. Regardless, it won't affect my decision. If they weren't wowwing me with their features, maybe I'd be swayed. But from what we've been shown thus far, M12 looks to be another quality football game for me, and the best this gen.

If you want bang for your buck there is GTA, Fallout, Elder scrolls and Red Dead

Point still stands, I've played more of any year of Madden than any of those games.

I'm used to buying Madden for the roster update, so it's only a buy (with no season) with major improvements to everything. If there's no off-season leading to no season I'll probably buy NCAA 12 on release and maybe buy Madden 12 around Christmas with the discounted price to try franchise mode.
