If Aaron Rodgers POID was/is 44412 and you edit everything in the editor to create Brett Favre, the .dat doesn't know or care that you made changes, all it knows is to display the stats for POID 44412. So the POID must change if you don't want to see the existing stats tables.

For CPU the .dat tables can simply be wiped, so it doesn't matter what the POID is. That will most likely be an option for you guys at some point, but unless I'm mistaken, it isn't at present.

So for now, try this;

1) export a .csv with the editor
2) open file, sort PLNA (player name) alphabetically A-Z
3) in the POID field, edit/paste POID starting from 1 thru 2000-whatever..
4) re-import using the editor, stats should/could be gone

This MAY cause a crash. Theoretically what this would accomplish: as long as a player POID doesn't match a POID in the .dat table, the roster file has nothing to pull data/stats from.

Again, it would/could crash beacuse POID 1-20__ is not in the .dat... like sending your cpu to look for a file that you've deleted.. or it may not make any difference at all. If POID 1-20__ isn't in the file, it's not in the file.... but, without a .dat editor, this is pretty much the only option.

so i downloaded the 1990 roster file but it says .MC02 unlike the others, i cant rehash and resign in modio and cant get in the game....how do i put this file in now? Thanks!

I don't suppose there is any way of changing the playbooks of teams before starting a connected career in M13 is there? So that the Lions would run more with Barry Sanders, or so the 49ers would pass more with Joe Montana and Jerry Rice. I know you can change your playbook for one user team, but can you adjust beforehand for the CPU teams? I don't think you can.

Such a shame... this could have been the best Madden ever because of the gameplay... had they just kept their traditional franchise mode with the ability to select multiple teams.

You can choose the playbook for the cpu team you are playing against in CCM.

Just connect a 2nd controller go and change the playbook then move the controller back to the middle and select ready under your team. The CPU team will use the playbook you choose. I do this when I play against the cpu for example I use the Flores Playbook for the Cowboys cause they didn't use shotgun and used I formation a lot back then. I usually choose Bill Walsh book for the 49ers.

This is AWSOME! Like a Madden dream come true!! But I have a problem - I'm following the directions and I'm stuck at ...open Xan's Madden Editor? Where is that located in the thread? Nothing is labeled as Xan's Madden Editor? Where do I down load Xan's Madden Editor?
