The other thing I'm realizing with ANY slider set is that these things WILL happen in any given game:

1. One team will start running good in the first half. That team will not run as well in the second half.

2. The inverse reaction occurs, and the other team that didn't run well will start busting off runs in the 3rd QTR and so on.

3. One teams CBs will totally allow some BS catches to be made without putting any effort into defending.

4. One teams OL will inexplicably allow men to just run right around while they pick their nose.

Now it seems to me that tuning sliders is half about which side of all those things you want to be on.
I think the QBA slider on my set is basically tied into the INT slider....it has to be set low in order for accuarcy to truly reflect the qb being utilized.

For example with Pass reaction at 36 and INT slider at 19 it feels really smooth and easy

With Pass Reaction at 44 the INT slider then has to be decreased down to 11 same balance but the coverage tightens up.

Good job PM. You figured out the numbers my man! You're on to something. Too bad the EA programmers can't confirm your theories. You should ask them for fun.
I have someone testing with Drew Brees and A. Rogers

I'm pretty sure now after communicating with him that the problem isn't the QBA setting itself....it's the INT slider that causes drastic change in the accuarcy of passes

You can use QBA at 11 vs either Pass Reaction at 36 or 44 and it'll work th eonly thing that alters the accuarcy is how you set up the INT slider to match either one of those settings.

The CPU defense stayed within 150 slider value points using anyone of these settings

Pass Reaction-36
INT-19
Pass Rush-95

Pass Reaction-44
INT-11
Pass Rush-95

You'll notice how the Pass Reaction went up to it's next difficulty level 44 which takes you from the AVG lowest reaction time of all players at 36 to to the lowest coverage skills of the just the secondary players only 44 without including LB's in coverage.

The INt slider dropped the same amount clicks that the coverage slider went up and presto you still have 150 overall

In real life, elite speed players can still outrun slower LBs and such even when the LBs have 2 steps on them. They can usually make it up by their 3rd stride and by that time are off to the races.
Yeah kinda sucks seeing the slowdown happen, but in my experience it's much more seamless this year, and even when it happens, I havn't been hawked from behind by anyone that shouldn't be able to.

The problem with low thresholds is that almost no space at all is really necessary to takeoff like a rocket no matter how close the LBs or the secondary is to the ballcarrier. Too many players look like Chris Johnson, when only a few are actually on par with him, or even close at all. With the higher threshold, a reasonable amount of space, based on the ballcarrier's acceleration for the most part, is required to make such a play.

With my threshold at 64, I'm seeing what you describe. Chris Johnson can still takeoff on almost any linebacker or secondary player with relative ease excluding a select few (the likes of Ike Taylor, Patrick Willis, Rodgers-Cromartie, etc). Against players like that, accurately, he needs a little space.

Saints (cpu) Vs Packers (me) .... Rematch with the Pass Coverage at 44, INT at 11.

Saints
Brees: 14/27, 333 yards, 4 TD's, 1 INT
Pierre Thomas: 14 carries, 34 yards
Meachem: 3 catches, 105 yards, 2 Tds

Packers
Rodgers: 22/32, 298 yards, 2 Tds, 2 Ints
Grant: 15 carries, 52 yards, 1 Td
Jones: 7 catches, 110 yards

Game seemed overall very realistic. I made two bad passes with Rodgers and paid for it. Brees hit two bombs to his receivers. I did run a Punt back for a TD, first in several games for me. Final Score ...

Packers 38 - Saints 35

akers missed short and right from 47 yds as well.
I will get this updated today.

I think with the lower QBA we have to stay at 36 pass reaction or 44 pass reaction.

Those are the two options that stay within the slider value of 150 committed to CPU pass defense. I will let the user decide which one he prefers but neither setting effects QBA at 11 aslong you stay with the INT slider that coincides with the appropriate coverage setting.

Re: Playmakers Madden 11 Custom Sliders

This is nothing against your sliders(love the NCAA sliders) more of a knock on this crappy game, but mid through 3rd I am
Beating SD with SF 35-12, and both Gorecand Westbrook are over 100 yds on the ground. Way too easy

Re: Playmakers Madden 11 Custom Sliders

Well figured I would give these a shot as another slider set hasn't panned out for me and I can't get a feel for sliders yet with this game. I will say I think this has potential for a pretty good game of football with realistic results.

here is what I have so far, each of these represent only the FIRST HALF

Two equal teams:

(me) Oak - 34
(cpu) TB - 3

Big red flags for me in first game, first half! I am usually a power run guy and I use a balanced attack with my game plan but this was rediculously easy, and I even threw three picks, so even a more disheartening score with me -3 in TO margin

Key Stats:

OFF:

Oak 306 yds
TB 118

Campbell 12-21 285 3TD and 3INT in the first half!
TB QB's 11-22 100 yds 0 TD 0 INT

In 2009, San Diego allowed 120 yards per game on the ground. Play a few more games against San Diego and see if it plays out properly average wise
