I've been using Mike32Ownz subin/out sliders and they are working pretty well.

Re: Bill's Realism Sliders (only Coach Mode for now)

Hi, Bill. I'm experimenting with your sliders now before launching my Skins franchise. I'm not twitchy enough to take on the CPU so am using Coach Mode. I'm using the Xbox 360 and it isn't connected to the Internet, so I can't post stats, but I can give you some general impressions based on a half-dozen games I've played.

In general, I think the sliders are great. All of the games had reasonable scores, and the stats were realistic with a couple of exceptions. It seems to me, and the stats posted by others seem to confirm this, that the rushing average is a little high. In my games, Portis consistently got more than 5 yards per carry each game, and this against the Ravens (I have played all my games against the same team to control for that). In addition, I've been experiencing an inordinate number of turnovers (both Skins and Ravens). I've noticed that your fumble and interception settings are significantly lower than those set by most people in their sliders, and am wondering if they should be tweaked upward.

Interestingly, I haven't noticed that setting the minimum speed threshold at 100 has prevented the occasional big play, as I had feared. I trust your methodology on that one.

What drives me nuts, and I don't know whether this is correctable or not, are what I perceive to be totally unrealistic kick and punt returns. In six games, neither team has gotten past the 23 on a kickoff return or gained more than 7 yards on a punt return. (I haven't had better results with anybody else's sliders.) As far as penalties, even with settings at 100 I haven't seen very many, or at least as many as seem to occur in real games. I do think the injuries setting is a tad high, though you yourself acknowledge that your setting might not appeal to everybody.

All for now. Thanks a lot for your hard work. Adjusting the sliders definitely improves the experience, and if it wasn't for people like you I would have sold my game already.

Re: Bill's Realism Sliders (only Coach Mode for now)

I think Bill addressed it in the first post, the kick and punt returns are an engine issue. Unless EA does a patch the sliders are not going to fix it.

Kick returns are an engine problem--no one holds their blocks. I think that will get fixed in a patch.

I still think QB completion % is too low, and I'm working on some adjustments for that. Rushing may also be tweaked downward. I can't answer about turnovers yet.
