I think the biggest compliment I can give is that it felt like a real nfl game, whether it was v-jax skying for balls in the redzone or passes getting batted down at the line for geno (happened three times)... just stuff I'm not used to seeing in madden. I played as NYJ.

What did you change to make user running game more difficult? I have run blocking at 0. Didn't raise CPU tackling?

I just raised CPU tackling to 80.. not sure how else to address the run game. There aren't as many options as there are for the passing game (which felt perfect).

Its hard to measure how much of an impact it had, but I didn't run for 7-8ypc, and it felt authentic. I still got some cool broken tackle animations and cutback runs.

I was thinking that's what I would need to do

It definitely increases the forced fumbles though, so HUM fumbles should probably increase/decrease (? can't remember) to compensate.

For the record, at halftime of my second game..

powell 11 carries 34 yds
ivory 2 carries 1 yd

I just played a game with the new set. I was the Rams against the 49ers and I won 22-9, but the game was far more challenging than the score shows. I didn't add all the defensive stats, just added the guys with the most tackles and the ones that got sacks or INT's.

I know you lowered Threshold to 25 last update but would raising threshold be a way to make the running game harder? It seems both CPU and USER running games are both a bit too good. I've always felt higher threshold makes the game harder but I have much respect for your work so whatever you choose I'll try out.

Also again is it possible that the running game after setting run blocking to 0 could be further tuned with the penalty sliders?

It seems those are the only two areas we have left. Does raising Tackling have any unwarranted side effects like the animations you get? It's too bad they got rid of block shedding and break tackles.

You raise the fumble slider if you want less fumbles

Yea I'm not a fan of higher thresholds. It will tighten game play up some but, the CPU won't have too many break away runs. Raising the tackle sliders seems fine. It should help RB fatigue more too
