Anyway, regardless, the reason it was referred to your post is b/c there shouldn't be a debate as to whether it's in-game, cutscene, WHATEVER. The meat of the discussion is whether or not the pictures are rendered CG or actual in game graphics, and it should be clear that they are NOT renders.

Those who are waiting for actual in game shots, as if you're looking at a TV while you have the controller in your hand and are actually PLAYING, should leave and not come back for a month or two. EA RARELY releases actual shots, and that's something that's more slated for E3.

I totally agree 100% with what your saying. If you take the fever models and model them a little better and use nfl 2k5's grahics they kind of look like these madden next gen grahics. But the madden next gen still looks better.

What i'm getting at is, these pics we've seen have to all be in game. Just look at this pic of espn nfl 2k5

look at how good it looks, and it's this gen. I'm expecting EA to have thier next gen madden look like those screens on thier site are even better. The real olny difference in the screens of the next gen and the current gen espn is the fact that the next gen one has far better lighting effects and the snow effect is really untouchable and also the player models do look more alive

That's not really fair to only subject EA to this claim, as MANY game developers do the same thing. You WANT to display your product in the best possible fashion... just look on the back of almost any video game case... it's the same thing.

You have much to learn, rookie. You are greatly under-estimating what next gen will bring. Do some more homework on next gen then you'll be a believer too. You'll be suprised what a few more poly's and a LOT more normal mapping,light sourcing,advanced pixel shaders will do for next gen games.

I was referring to the XBox. Both (years) looked great, and the jump, like was mentioned previously, had to do with animations, not the actually graphics.
