Played it for a bit but the controls are very responsive. Lot of nice little things.

However in the limited time I had with it, the game "felt" better than last year. (Good thing) However if you're looking for the 2k treatment with Madden you won't find it. The title is much better than last year.

From what I saw of the 360 version (didn't play it) you can't tell the difference that much b/w the two unless you play them side by side.

So...from what you saw would you be getting the ps3 or 360 version of the game ???

(Assuming you have both systems and plan on buying madden.)

Is it possible to return missed field goals? Are there any trick plays in this years version? (Flea flicker, WR reverse pass, WR motion option)
Can you sub DB's in to be WR's?

just got Madden last night and also got one for my younger my brother.......

Graphics look worse... Ed Hockely (the ref I believe is less detailed) along with the players.....

I don't get it...... I understand that they had to downgrade the graphics for 360version to achieve 60fps, but why did they have to do it to the PS3version..... last years version run a little close to 30fps so why did they have to do, what seems to be, the same amount of cutbacks as the 360version?

I believe EA could have had this game run at 60fps, but for $ome reason it doesn't.......they should have kept the game the way it was last year, why downgrade the graphics....? that much for 30fps..... All Pro looks alot better now..... (I'm no 2k fanboy.... I don't like the defensive control aspect of 2k, amongst other things)

anyway.... I like the Hot Route set up on Offense...... on defense, I have to get used to it alittle more......

on my other T.V. game still downscales to 480p for us 1080i/480p folks......( when talking about graphics earlier I was using my Sony XBR 34" which upscales to 1080i and comparing to last years PS3 version)

game runs smooth, but moving the Passing cone seems slower (this might have to do with Alex Smith) but it wasn't as slow last year..... I'm going to go try with another Qb later......

I'll try to help with answering questions......

ps. for other posters who have the game...... My safety (Micheal Lewis) has been taking HORRIBLE angles when running up for run support...by the time I try to click on, its too late...... has this happened to you?

one thing that I noticed that is a bummer is that there is still no accelerated clock in this years version. :

one positive, the owner mode seems to be as deep as ever. Very glad to see that. No Tony Bruno show or newspapers, but I can deal with that.

The lack of a franchise ticker of some sorts is a little disappointing since it was in NCAA.
