Madden 2010 Cover Guy?

I reckon Larry Fitzgerald just put the nail in the coffin as to who should be on the cover after his MVP Pro Bowl performance.

Or if I were to be a bit more biased id say Jarred Allen would be the defensive player to be on the cover

Why not Troy Polamalu? Madden hasn't had a defensive player on the cover since 2005, and Polamalu has just about everything you look for in a cover athlete. He is a high-profile player who leads the best defense in the league and was on the Super Bowl winning team.

Actually, anything besides a QB or a RB would be nice. Here are the cover athlete positions starting in 2001: RB, QB, RB, QB, LB, QB, RB, QB, QB. So 5 QBs, 3 RBs, and 1 LB. I think we need a little change.

Too bad he got spanked in the 1st round of the playoffs... The only playoff team he was able to beat was the Chargers over the course of the whole season. I don't think EA wants to be represented by someone who couldn't get the job done against any form of quality competition.

I think Ed Reed would be a good choice, but being a Ravens fan I'd rather he not got the "privilege".

Yesterday I went into Game Stop and they had a boxed copy of Madden 2010 but the player was blacked out. It definitely appears to be a QB. I remember last year they did it and I thought it was Eli Manning but it was Favre. In any case, last year's blackened picture was the exact same as the real one.

So, going along with that, what QB do you think it will be? Drew Brees may have my vote from what the picture looked line. Either him or Big Ben but he is a much bigger QB.
