So the defense has the right to attack the ball but the offense doesnt? Yea right.

You dont want control? Go play head coach.
There is no need to insult me.

I feel I have plenty of control with the pass. The pass is where all of the control needs to be. Controlling the receiver, to me, is cheese.

In a nutshell, the defense reacts to the ball, the receiver doesn't. That needs to be fixed. Point blank. Even if he doesn't come down with the ball every time, at least let the receiver go up for the ball.

Ok and your last statement is an insult to people that user catch by saying it's cheese. How is user catching cheese? That's part of controlling the game!

Re: Madden 20-10: Resurrection of the 'User Catch'

I have always felt that pass plays happen too fast to even think about switching to the WR. Throw in the fact that you can't see routes that are run off the screen and you can see why lots of people don't ever bother switching to the WR in the first place.

The only place where switching even makes sense on the pass is bombs. Right now, I think Madden represents bombs well. Good receivers do make plays occasionally if you simply let them. However, most of the time, the pass is incomplete, which reflects real life well.

You are asking for more control in order to increase probability to a low percentage play. Sounds like you want an arcade game. No offense, but arcade style play is normally referred to as cheese.

Ok. You are right that if u throw into coverage the ball should be defensed. If I throw deep to a one on one matchup between a 6 ft 5 receiver and a 5 ft 10 corner, dont you think if the ball is thrown well that the reciever should have say at least a 30% chance of getting his hands to the ball.

And for the record, I never user catch. I prefer it if the reciever makes the catch due to his attributes as opposed to my "stick skills".

Well, I think you guys are asking for the wrong correction. The ratings and player dimensions should matter more. User catching is not the right tool to correct this. Having the players play to their attributes is the correct solution.

Im not barracking for better user catching at all. I would like to see wr competing for the ball, thats all.

I think this is a product of tiburon catering to the online crowd. The spectacular catch thing worked to well online last year. So they said "how can we fix this". They must have figured the best way to fix it was to make the recievers the least athletic players on the field.

If linebackers can jump, why cant recievers?
