That was my first thought upon reading the article. 99% chance that Online Franchise is not in for Madden 10. If it is in with pre-determined classes, then it is going to be a train wreck.

How in any way does pre-created drafts correspond to online franchise?

If HC09 was for kids and casual, then Madden franchise is for (I can't think of a good analogy). I feel HC09 had much more depth than Madden 360 ever had, ex. gameplanning, everything in the offseason.

Don't buy the strategy guide, or read post that say "spoiler" and everyone should be fine. Madden has Top 10 picks, NCAA has blue stars, so we already know who's gonna be good. It's just pre created rookies allow for more everything. Players can have personalities in addition to attributes(and the ratings will be balanced)

I really believe some people haven't played HC09 which is causing this disbelief. Hey it's like $10 at walmart

Online Franchise = 2 or more human users

"Welcome to the EA Sports 2011 NFL Draft. This year all of the buzz is surrounding the star QB Joe Simmons and RB Jim Fuller"

*pause* *Check OS forums* *Check spoilers*

"Wait, we have a trade" "The Dallas Cowboys have traded for the #1 pick in the draft"

*The Dallas Cowboys select RB Jim Fuller (The best player in that draft set's history)*

"Next up, the Detroit Lions"

*The Detroit Lions pass on QB Joe Simmons (A known bust on the forums) and take WR Harry Taylor*
----------------------------

Do you not see the problem here? The online community and strategy guides would have every sleeper, bust, etc. down to a science within a couple of weeks/months after release.

You CANNOT have pre-created prospects with Online Franchise. I'm sure the intelligent people at Tiburon/EA have figured that out by now, so I'm 99% sure that we won't be seeing Online Franchise.

As someone who plays NCAA's Online Dynasty, there is enough of a mess with that mode for me to imagine how horrendous that kind of cheating would be.

I'm really starting to like the pre-created rookie idea...

How is that any different from an offline franchise? Sure the other players won't pick up any busts but neither will you and ultimately it's all about who trades for the overall number 1 pick and wants to sacrifice that much money for their players. I don't see any difference and if it is that big of a problem just import some draft classes from NCAA and put everyone on the same playing field.

I know! No one!!!

Seeing Donny and Josh's work on HC09, I don't think they're idiots. I'm sure they've though more than 2 seconds on what they're implementing.
