Re: Madden Player Ratings (09)

i think rating players in a historical context is wrong. so when ppl say "oh, i think 95+ is HOF worthy" that bothers me as the players in the HOF played in a different era and probably wouldn't be 80s in madden. anywho, steve smith should certainly be in the 95+, dude is a beast.

my second fav player behing Moss but none of then deserve that rating....

this game does not have the reasoning calculations to produce anything close to realistic with ratings like the ones i see people giving out.

A.D
95-stiff arm
95- elusiveness
95-juke
95-spin
are you serious does this even sound realistic. this type of garbage ratings is what causes his to throw off linemen that weigh twice his weight.

i understand the aspect of where your coming from wit the HB ratings but thats why EA needs to implament a weight system so stiff arming a 300lb DT wont be effective....still IMO peyton still deserves a 95+ brah

you cannot count a year that he was injured for basically half of as a bad season....thats like saying Tom Brady had a bad year this past season...even with that injured season he is averaging 10 sacks and 5 Forced Fumbles a season and that is what he got last season with the exception of 4 FF instead of 5....He was rated 95 in Madden 08 so he actually went up one in 09....

Re: Madden Player Ratings (09)

my point is 95 in numbers dont leave room for human error.

i am looking at it too practical i guess.

Re: Madden Player Ratings (09)

I am not sure why some people want such a restrictive number of 95+ players, I think 50 is even slightly low. That is just over 1.5 players, on average, per team above that number. I am all for stretched ratings, but there are a lot of elite players in the league that deserve to be rated as such.

And I think Calvin Johnson should be on that list of 95+ players.

Exactly. If we were to get "The Galloping Ghost" Red Grange to play at his prime(1920s) vs todays nfl he wouldnt get half of what he did back in the day.

Steve Smith may be short but he plays so dynamic I cant see how he would be rated under 95+. The man is everything you could want in a WR besides his height and more.

yea he might have went up in 09 but this yr wit the ratings drop he'll be 93-90 rating....and i fully understand the injury arguement i just dont believe he'll be 95+ this yr especially wit the ratings drop
