I've yet to see a double team on a pass block situation. RG is always back pedaling waiting for someone to come over.
He should check for the blitz and then help Center or tackle if DL is pushed by one of them in its hole.

I can't believe that 2K5 (not even talking about 2K8) is still years above Madden 10 in the blocking department.
Just can't believe it.

I mean, Ian, you look like a great guy, and i appreciate all the talk you have with the community. I really appreciate it and all the effort you put in this game.
But come on, You're not blind.
Boot up 2K5 (or even better 2K8) and watch the pocket, boot up Madden 10 and watch the pocket (same for run blocking). I mean, how can you be satisfied with blocking in Madden compared to a 2005 engine ?
Everything from the animations, the AI is way better in 2K games in the blocking department.

It's better than last year Madden sure, but how can you explain you're still years behind 2K?

I'm not a 2K fanboy, i just have eyes.

Can't you hire some 2K developpers to help you guys ? And create the ultimate football sim ?

I don't have any issue with breaking out of the animations in 2K. Looks like real life.
And DB is another area where 2K is still slighty above in my opinion on the animation part (back pedaling, planting, head tracking, bumping, hips work...)
I have to say that Madden 10 has improved a lot in this area. kuddos Ian

On the DB AI part, Madden is fine.

So i don't have issue with DB in Madden anymore, unless maybe sometimes it's seems they run the route before the receiver makes his cut. That can probably be adjusted via sliders.

IMO, pass rushers will get there... but not in 3 to 4 seconds like they did EVERY TIME in this video. The only time quarterbacks really have to throw the ball off quick is if a blitz with a 2 line backer or db is coming...

And will giants oline be better than this? Eli would be in the pocket for 6-7 seconds if it was only 4 pass rushers.

BTW in some instances the RG is RE TOD DID and does a half job of blocking a loss de.

And for the people who say is a video game STFU, were tryna make this a good experience not something you would come back on this site complaining about how its unrealistic.
