Another thing is, Euphoria is used on every tackle. Pro-tak is only used in certain situations. Just another reason they are hard to compare. I think pro-tak should be used every tackle to an extent. Also, I would be very swayed to pro-tak if Ian could confirm that they could have dynamically driven tackles. Like you push left while engaged and the runner get driven left, etc. But without jerky movements. I'm talking totally smooth.

Don't be surprised if it will be done already like a week after launch, and some

This is what I was saying that ALLpro should have done.

Just make the game fully customizable, and leave the rest upto use.

Here is my work on Madden 08 for the PC.

I wanted NCAA teams(72 we created) , created them. Here is the Vols field (example).

I wanted playoffs and Conf championship logos on the field, so I created them.

I didnt like how the colors were with the Steelers Gold, I redid them, and also gave the Ravens the all black pants with Black socks. Which never existed in the game.
Created it

Then I created my own endzone in honor and pride of my Flag football team.

Now if Backbreaker is going to give me the option to customize.
OMG trust me I'm ready

Re: pro tak vs backbreaker takle system

I really think that the future is Euphoria in Madden. As intrigued as I am with BB, and as down as i am on Madden, one thing I will not take away from Tiburon is that they want to create a real sim NFL experience, even if they don't know how. They seem to be passionate about the game of Football, regardless of problems that Madden has. I don't think that I can say the same thing for Natural Motion. I really think that their main goal is to make a good enough Football game with incredible physics, that entices EA to utilize their engine in Madden. I think that BB is a huge tech demo type undertaking, trying to nail the physics side, but that they aren't that passionate for the Football side.

They did state that the reason they chose to make a Football game was because they thought the impacts in the game of Football were a great proving ground for their engine.

I think you have a team, Tiburon, that is passionate about Football, and that is desperate to make a true sim game, but doesn't have the expertise to pull off the type of realistic game play that I think they want to put in. And then you another company, that has the technical skill to pull off that type of physics based game play, but does not have the passion to put out an authentic NFL game.

This seems like such a perfect match that I'm more sure now, than I ever was, that it will never happen lol.

2K was not allowed to have customization in their game. I don't know if it was because the NFL said so, or EA said so, but I have read that they were not allowed. Somehow, Natural Motion was able to have it in the game.

And tyrant, no body knows. Its just speculation. We don't know if you can import custom logos.
Thanks for the info, if they provide a tool like Forza it's pretty much all I need.
Thanks again

I will be more than willing to offer my files with anyone. I pretty damn good with creating logos, and color schemes.

They actually were allowed to OD on customization to the point that has never been seen lol.
There really is a GOD, not that I didn't believe in you before my Lord, but umm you know what I mean AMEN

Slightly OT, but, shouldn't we have received more videos of the game by now? 90% of them have come from Youtube, and Ian has certainly uploaded a handful, but I feel like in years past, we would've been inundated with videos for Madden--especially as the game is one month away.

No, they were allowed to. There is already a legal precident that says so about a comic book hero type game.

The didn't do it because they wanted to try to get on the NFL's good side. lol, the only way to get on the NFL's good side is with cold hard cash.

2k doomed themselves because of that...

Re: pro tak vs backbreaker takle system

If Backbreaker does indeed allow for a fully customizable roster... as in being able to create multiple teams with unlimited players... I for sure will buy it over Madden.

I'll simply recreate every NFL team and all of the players on the teams AS WELL AS free agents, and I'll be a happy camper.
