I agree it's not cool calling anyone a "liar" but Ian is the lead designer and answered the questions for this interview. I might understand if someone else did the interview and gave a wrong answer. Regardless, we consumers deserve an explanation on this and other things that were promised by not in the final product.

To clarify, I wasn't calling Ian a liar, I'm 100% positive he wanted this feature, but someone above him at EA must have nixed the idea. Same for the AFL throwback jerseys.

Well it appears it was planned. NCAA had facial expressions "turned on" with a patch. Maybe Madden could have sounds added in a similar way?

The interview was done JUNE 29, not MARCH 29. The game was a month away from going gold. Ian should've had a good idea what was actually in the game at that time.
